Does anybody know if you'll be able to rewind time in Konquest mode?

If there are certain events that only occur at certain times (and I'm damn sure there will be) then there would be no way in hell you could do all of them, or even most of them.

Rewinding time could either be a really good or a really stupid feature.

With it you'd be able to see just about everything Konquest has to offer without having to go through it a hundred times. However, it would also take a lot of intrigue out of the game mode because it would be pretty easy to create a "Godlike" fighter out of Shujinko.

What are your thoughts, opinions, preferences?

Also, do you think you should be able to name the Konquest character? If you COULD change his name, that would mean they would never acctually say his name in Konquest mode (I'm assuming their using voice actors. Can anybody confirm this?). Also, the game would never say his name in Arcade mode. So instead of saying "Shujinko wins... Fatality" it couldn't really say anything but "You win... Fatality" I think that would suck and that they should just give him a pre-programed name. What do you think?

Also, any oppinions on fatalities for him? Should you get to chose out of other characters fatals or should he have his own, unique fatals?

I would have to say NO to a Rewinding of time feature in Konquest for the reason you stated along with:

* It allows Midway to make sure that a decent amount of the secrets will remain hidden for awhile.

*** There is voice acting in Konquest ***

I don't see the harm in allowing you to change the name of Shujinko. I personally won't do it, but if someone wants to NOT have their name spoken by the announcer they should have that choice.

Thanks for the info Skytrapper.

One other thing. If your character is named something other then Shujinko, what the hell are they going to call him in Konquest mode? I don't know about you, but I think it'd be pretty annoying if they called him "young one" or "mister" and other crap like that the whole time.

I dunno, maybe it's just me.

Like you said before, the game would refer to him as "You" or "Him" or something like that. I like the name Shujinko, on account I can never think of a better or good name for my created charaters, so I'm going to use it.

Rewind time? Lik in Prince of Persia you mean? I can't say if that's good or not, I've never played Persia, but reviewers have said that feature made the game good, so if they put it in MK:D, who knows. Maybe they give you the option of if you wanna use it or not.

I don't really like the idea of rewinding time. I also do not like the fact that you may not be able to change the name. If I want to make the newest Black Dragon badass (excluding Kira), what the hell sort of name is Shujinko?!

I read somewhere that things happen at a certain time in the day not on certain days so the same things would happen everyday so you wouldn't have to rewind time hope this makes sense

Ohhhh, I see now. That probably means his growing old kinda works like a countdown. You have only a limited time to do things in each realm before you have to move on.

But wait a sec, what happenes if you take too long to complete Konquest mode, will Shujinko be older then 60? How the hell would that work, he already has a set picture on the Select Screen???

Konquest mode is confusing as hell.

I believe you CAN change Shujinko's name. Early screenshots had his name as Johnny, Ed, Tony, and a lot of other things (and these were screenshots all released around the same time).

I'll say this about Konquest mode. I'm planning on playing through it once, then doing it again, much more slowly to see if I can build the best Shujinko possible. grin
