Playing a little DA today, and once again my brain flipped on a little switch...this time, it was about costumes.
Costumes are a pretty big thing for me in a fighter. I like having multiple colors and outfits to work with. MY IDEA for Deception: once you unlock character costumes, you should have the ability to either...
A. change costumes during arcade (meaning you manually change costume during load screen for next fight
OR
B. character AUTOMATICALLY changes depending on the stage settings, FOR EX: the lava stage (hot), your character automatically changes into your a less cloth outfit, or lighter outfit due to the heat. and ice palace (cold) character chooses a heavier warmer outfit.
the hotter stage outfit
the colder stage outfit
MAKE SENSE?
I think it would be cool to have this as an OPTION

I am for this 100%. I made a thread earlier about the CPU changing the outfits, so they aren't so repetative. I really want the cpu to change into the altenate if the computer is the same charcter as you. But I like your idea of having less clothes for hot stages, and more clothes for colder ones. I think Midway should look into improving the rotation of the outfits during the game.

I love that idea. It adds to the realism.

yeah, good point. I DID think of that before i posted, but had no counter for it. I dont know, those girls will just have to wear the one that looks a little warmer.
Mileena's would be the one where she wears the shoulder coverings, that drape to her hands.
and sindel, would wear the one with the crown...?
the point was, i just wanted to see some characters switch it up...especially the one i pick for arcade mode. I dont like commiting to that one costume when you choose your fighter in the beginning.

how about both? when you change costume you could change fighting style? as well as more clothes or heavier weapons makes the characters slower, which would be a disadvantage to using the weapons.
i thought the weapons were unfair in DA because n00bs would just switch to their weapon style right at the start of the fight and use it all the time, if they got their asses kicked by a experienced player using hand to hand styles because the n00b was so slow they would rethink how they play the game, you could have the same effect with costume swaps, therefore erasing n00bs out of Deception, leaving skilled fighters only.
This would add more realism, improve gameplay and give Deception a reputation as a strategic fighter game, along with what it already has over other fighting games (betta story, betta sub-games and a genuine gd reason 2 get ur console online) MK Deception would be the best beat-em up to date
correct?
