I totally forgot about weapons you could pick up and throw at your oppoent like back in MK4/MKGold! I've been thinking about the melee weapons that each character will have in their armed style and the weapons that characters can pick up and use at the different stages. But weapons they can throw would fit in perfectly!

How about there are creatures that you can throw? Like a sort of Outworld/Netherealm looking porcupine that crawls around the stage and also acts as a background obstacle that could do damage if a fighter gets too close to it opr lands on it. But the fighter could pick one up and throw it at his opponent. And for better effect, what if the creature was like a snake or something and, afetr throwing it, it wraps around the opponent's neck and it continuously drains their health by injecting venom into their veins as the fight continues?

The Object that you can throw on the floor, should correspond to the Arena your fighting in.
Take..the Shokan caves for example. There should be rocks or boulders you can throw at your opponent..or the Acid Bath stage...a mini-budda statue head that you hold and acid comes out..eating your opponent.
