Wow, you make it sound like there was this epic battle over tiers and bringing it up again could get me killed or something. Only reason I ask is because I want to know if the game is broken. I don't think MKDC gets much respect on the tournament scene and I wanna know why. I think it deserves a chance. If that garbage that is SF4 can be played in tournaments then MKDC should be played too.

Woah woah woah.... I just finally started to play this game tonight for first time. SF4 is better I can already tell..... at least from my first impressions. And Street Fighter 4 is really great. I still say Dead or Alive 4 overall is the best fighter this gen thus far. Street Fighter 4 and Soul Calibur 4 Id say tied for 2nd, while Virtua Fighter 5 4th, and MKvsDC sadly since I am a fan, but 5th and last.

Please dont challenge me either. Have your own opinions, your own preference. But do you play fighting games for money like me? Would you consider yourself a fighting game expert? Then dont challenge me.

Anyways..... yeah...... I was actually coming on here to see if there was a tier list made for this game.... I see people say this char and that char are god or top tier, but I never see any real list..... And I too want to see the tier list to see as well exactly how broken this game is..... I just started playing it tonight so havent noticed any thing real broken... just that it isnt really a whole new fighting engine like I was expecting..... same exact mechanics, and animations even look same as moves from MKA.... This game has always had a lot of issues with it from a long time fans point of view. Some things, though how little they may be, are just effing stupid in story mode. and wtf why even have Quan Chi in there at all? lame only character to make a cameo appearance and they dont bother making his look at least canon for the time line.... but fuck it right.... they didnt for Shaolin Monks either with that dumbass ending.....

lol.... damn.... how much I love MK...... is equally how much I hate it hHAHAHAHAHAHAH....... at least these days lol.

Anyways yeah looks like no tier list here.... lame.... go search on the web now late.

It wasn't a battle or anything, you just have a lot of users explaining to people that this character isn't a top tier or this guy doesn't deserve to be on the low tier.

The game is broken because every character has infinites like crazy... Mostly Flash and Superman are the top two cheapest characters in the game becuase of how everyone uses the same fucking move over and over and over... I just quit after I see someone select the Flash for a character because it's never a fair fight.

The reason why this game has no respect in the tournament scene is because everyone is cheap. Even when they say that they won't use the Flash, they just want a good fight, they're most likely going to pick the Flash and cheat throughout the entire match. I've only had several good fights against certain people, including users here on this site, who has delivered a great match and didn't be cheap at all during the battle.

And no, bringing this up again is not going to kill you.

I'm a bit surprised by Tom's tier list. I would have slotted Superman above GL and brought Cap up 3 or 4 spots. Kitana seems better suited for the mid, but I should qualify that by saying I've not seen too many Kitana players. More as I think of it.

You think that way because you missed the crucial point. This is an OFFLINE tier list. Online tier lists dont really matter just like the game online doesn't matter. The game plays VERY differently offline. For example shao khans ff4 can be punished on block while it can't online and flash's b3 is MUCH easier to punish offline.

If you want to disagree with the list provide reasons behind it.

Captain marvel is much worse offline because you can reaction punish his teleport and his moves are slow to come out leaving him at a disadvantage even when he has frame advantage. Most everything he does is punishable easily offline. Online you can get away with teleporting or his bf2 because they're harder to punish.

GL is better against the rest of the cast than superman is though both are good. Both have unbreakable combos for fairly big damage. Lanterns got a better punsihment game then superman and while they both have breaker combos lanterns is more useful though supermans breaker combo is guaranteed damage while lanterns isn't always guaranteed.

Oh and zoid this is an old thread but then again everything on this site is old. Its basically dead. Seems like everybody has moved to MKU. Can't blame em though

I was referring to my experiences playing offline. I have never played this or any MK online. However, saying that the online game and the online tiers don't matter seems counter-productive. Especially given that for many MK fans, it's online or nothing.

I will disagree with whatever I want, reasons or no. At the time I posted that, I just wanted to say my peace and get out. Time was of the essence and I didn't want to do a whole thing.

Not everything on MKO is old. You and I are having a fairly recent conversation. Granted, I agree that Zoidberg is a little too insistent on reminding folks of the board's rules. But to his credit, the mods don't seem incredibly active, so if he wants to step up to that plate, why ruin his fun?
Not everyone moved to MKU. A lot of the old MKO crew went to a board created by yet another former MKO alum who's name I don't readily recall. Sorry. What was nifty about MKU (oh yeah, I actually followed the link) was seeing names that I literally haven't seen in years. People like Konqrr, m2dave, Dancock, and Tom Brady. Ah, memories. Like the corners of my mind.
