I doubt he'll be playable. He was just a cloud in the video. He'll need a somewhat humanoid form if he is to be playable.

Oh, I knew Damashi was Shujinko's friend, but I never knew It was that ball of light thing. In that case, I also severeely doubt him slowing up as a playable character.

I think he's going to be a friend of Shujinko who u see in Konquest mode. Maybe he'll train with Shujinko, or he'll get killed or something and give Shujinko a reason to fight.

in the shujinko bio you can here the voice actor say "it is good to see you again, damashi" so i beleive they are friends, but the one thing i remember most from the bio is...
