Deathtrap or stage fatality?

Well if they are named different things, wouldn't they be different?

I believe death traps can happen at any point during the fight(maybe in the third round, to keep it fair.), these have something to do with the glowing squares on the floor.
I was reading about one particular death trap, in which your oppenet can fall into some hot lava or something, and as they are scambling to get out, a huge cinder block falls on thier head.
Stage fatalities happen only when the announcer says finish him.

I guess you could be right about that. I think there will be different ways. The trigeered events that are the deathtraps should have seperate deaths to the Stage Fatalities.

Wasn't the 'meat grinder' in the teaser video a death trap?
That's what the highlighted green square was for. To show where to be to perform the deathtrap

I like the idea of death traps better then stage fatalities.
It will be cool to kill the opponent in the middle of the fight, not at the end.

yeah that was a death trap shown at the end of the trailer but the green square isnt to show where u have to be to perform the death trap, the green square is where a background weapon used to be but they must've used it during the battle so it was gone from that spot

Are you sure?
Because it does change colour and disappear? I thought that it was confirmed that it was to show where/when a death trap could be performed?
Oh well, that's what I thought anyhow
I wish there were both deathtraps (fatalities which you can perform during battle) AND stage fatalities (specific fatalities which are different from deathtraps, and can only be performed at the end of the level).
However, I get a feeling that deathtraps and 'stage fatalities' will both be one and the same thing.

I thought there were both death traps & stage fatalities.
The way all the news articles read is that they are both in it. Or am I just readin the articles wrong?
From scorpios Official Deception article posted on this board.
"Obviously, one of the staples in the Mortal Kombat franchise is Fatalities, and Deception will be chock full of them. Each character will have 2 fatalities, and stages will also have stage fatalities."
And
"Some levels will also feature deathtraps (different than stage fatalities), which will be indicated by a red marker."
They come from the same article in gameinformer

huh, now im confused...stage fatalities from my definition are performed at the words "finish him" at the end of the round. I posted earlier asking the same thing and was ridiculed for proposing that the match could end within the first 15 seconds via a deathtrap.
But Now it seems there are two different things. The teaser video never shows the words "finsih him" it just SAYS them and then scorpion kicks whomever into the grinder.
***** Im guessing if you dont pull off the death trap during play you have the chance to do it at the words "finish him" via a button sequence. ****** In other words death traps ARE stage fatalities, it just depends when you do them ?!?!?!

I personally wish there would be stage fatalities AND deathtraps. Not saying anything in particular, but the articles could be wrong. I guess time will tell.

I think the death traps are way better its more realistic since it can happen through out the fight and the fight might end even sooner than expected. I think its a way better idead espeacially if you just have to use a couple of simple moves to perform them.
