what if kahn and shinnok formed an alliance in deception to destroy their fromer scorcerers.

Or, what if Quan Chi is really Shinnok in disguise, cause according to MK4 storyline, Quan Chi did not win the MK4 tournament. Which means Shinnok still has the amulet.
Also Deception can just mean that a variety of characters deceive each other in MK6

LOL, im sorry but wow! Khan and Shinnok an alliance, that would never happen, it would be to much like deadly alliance, and u can never do the same thing twice. And please Shinnok is Quan Chi in disguise, theres no way, Quan Chi was Shinnoks assistant. Plus Shinnok never had the amulet, Quan Chi gave him a fake one while he kept the real one. On top of that Shinnok is dead, Quan Chi killed him. Khan is dead too, Quan Chi killed him too with Shang Tsung. Wow im sorry but get ur facts before u make such a ridicules post.

Uh ok...if Shinnok still had the amulet, MKDA would have never happened, considering that Quan chi had it for the entire game.

The MK4 endings didn't 'not happen'. ALOT OF THEM happened. That was the good part about MK4...they weren't final...alot of them were running stories between characters. So in effect, ALOT of character endings in MK4 occurred. We know that these had to happen:

Quan Chi: Destroys Shinnok with the real amulet
Scorpion: Defeats Sub-Zero, but finally learns the truth and brings Quan Chi to hell with him
Liu Kang: He won, and freed Edenia and Earthrealm
Raiden: He ascended to the pantheon of Elder Gods
Fujin: He became the protector of Earth when Raiden became an Elder
Sonya: Jarek was killed

These endings did not happen in MK4:
Jarek: Sonya dies
Jax: Sonya dies, then Jax kills Jarek
Sub-Zero: Defeats Scorpion, Scorpion then kills Quan Chi
Reptile: He dies
Shinnok: Destroys Raiden
Tanya: Tricks and kills Liu Kang

These endings either just didn't happen, or didn't really matter.

Kai: Gets Raiden's staff and goes away
Reiko: Walks into a portal and goes to a far place...all the way to hell

MK Gold:

Kung Lao: (possibly) Strikes back at Goro for killing his ancestor, but makes amends with him and they honor each other as great warriors
Kitana: (possibly)Defeats Mileena and opens a pit in her throne room, killing her, but most likely just trapping her.
Baraka: (Likely did NOT occur) Confronts Quan Chi about ruling a dead realm, Quan Chi destroys Baraka
Mileena: (did NOT happen) Kills Kitana and becomes the new ruler of Edenia
Cyrax: (Definitely happened) Sonya and Jax help Cyrax regain his humanity and make him a member of the OIA
Sektor: (Did NOT happen) Kills Sonya, Jax and Cyrax before the conversion process can be completed

So as you see, its just plain wrong to assume that NONE of the MK4 endings happened, since more than half of them did. MK4's ending were all open ended...they weren't 'What If' endings. There were about 4 or 5 seperate storylines that could've all occurred by strinigng the endings together.

But... what is Raiden now? Mortal?

Why did they show Kano, Shang Tsung, Quan Chi, and Shao Kahn's rendering. So...Shao Kahn will be in deception
Shinnok could have the real amulet and killed Quan Chi, then assumed the form of Quan Chi. This could happen.

The one weird Mortal Kombat Konquest episode where it was Shang Tsung VS Quan Chi. The plot twisted numerous times, so you couldn't tell who was assuming whos form half the time, since Quan and Shang could both shapeshift...
