In early process of MKD when it was still announced as MK6 Ed Boon told us that there will be differences between platforms. Differences in graphic (every platform will use it's maximum graphic possibilities) and some other things, Is there any confirmation for that now?

Obviously, there is going to be a difference in graphics. The PS2 is the weakest next-gen console. The Gamecube and Xbox pretty much destroy it in terms of graphical capablities.

I am waiting to see some of the reviews of both systems prior to making a decision. At this point, I am leaning towards the xbox because of it's power for graphics. As long as both systems play the same and contain similar content, the decision will come down to eye candy.

I am sure the Xbox will have better load times, better graphics, and so on...BUT I just can't seem to get comfortable playing MK on the Xbox controller. I was going to wait for a review on the game also, but I think right now I am leaning toward PS2 only because of the controller. The Xbox controller is awesome for analog use, but the D pad just seems awkward for use in an MK game. It might be that I am just used to the PS2 controller, and need to give the Xbox a chance. What are your opinions?

I think the Xbox version of MKD will end up having better graphics than the PS2 version, and in my opinion the Xbox controller is really confortable for playing any kind of games. I've played DOA3 and i just thought that the Xbox controller is good for fighting games. I'm talking about the Small Xbox controller not the big one.
We played both versions side by side, and the differences were minimal. XBox had real bump-mapping, smoother edges, HDTV support, and a higer frame-rate. PS2 had "simulated" bump-mapping, and maybe a few less polys.

Well actually the Xbox controller is great IMO, at least the Xbox Controller S. The original Xbox controller has a few flaws like hard buttons (which would hurt your fingers after a while), a bad D pad and it’s too big. But the Xbox Controller S is almost perfect, the D pad has improved much and the buttons are not that hard anymore (the buttons are placed a bit different too like the PS2) and of course it’s smaller.

I agree, the PS2 has an excellent controller too but believe or not, when I got used to the Xbox controller en then used the PS2 controller again I kind off thought it was too small. And the analog sticks of the PS2 are a bit too close to each other IMO. I say give the Xbox controller a chance but in the end it will be your own choice of course.
