I like Rain and yes, he does have a lot of potential. Though, I would like to know the complete and accurate storyline to Rain, because it seems that bio of him once being in the Lin Kuei was accidentally put in some of the MKT manuals. I'm not sure if I want to see him in MK6, but maybe he should be in a future MK like MK7. However, if he is going to be in MK6, then he should of course have a connection to Kitana's storyline and I'd like to know what happened to him during the time of MK4 and MKDA. As for his look, one of his costumes should be the ninja costume (but of course it should be very distinctive and cool looking kind of like some of the drawings I've seen from this site) and his other costume should be an unmasked form (I guess he should look like the way he did in MK: DOTR with the face and hair) with a general like uniform or something around there. As for his fighting styles, I'd like for one of his styles to be a form of Ninjitsu/Ninjutsu or maybe he should have Taijutsu. Then his other style should be an Edenian fighting style.

Rain was great, but I'm not sure if he fits into the story.

One of the first to die was the general of Edenia's army. That man was Rain's father. Although Rain is Edenian, he was raised by Shao Kahn all his life, and considers himself to be a warrior of Outworld, not of Edenia. Rain served Kahn during the invasion of Earth. He proved himself both in loyalty to Kahn and prowess in battle. During the invasion, Kitana tried to convince Rain to turn against Shao Kahn, and instead to help the Earth warriors. Rain was almost convinced, but life as a servant of Shao Kahn hasd been the only thing he'd ever known. He refused to give up his loyalty to Kahn, an act that would've almost seemed honorable under other circumstances. After Shao Kahn's defeat, Rain refuses to go back to his homeworld of Edenia. He travels back to Outworld. There he prepares to fight for the Outworld in the coming Mortal Kombat. He denys his heritage, completely convinced that the path Kahn has chosen for him is the right one.

Rain would really help the game. If they could make him really important, he could be really awsome.

Mortal Kombat Trilogy: Rain was the son of an Edenian general who was
killed during Kahn's invasion 10,000 years before. During then, Rain was
a baby who was hidden away. He made his return before Kahn's Earthrealm
invasion and joined the emperor out of fear. It's hard to say what
happened next for the purple ninja. Either he fought for Kahn until dying
or escaping or Kitana had informed him of his past, allowing him to join
the good side.

Where Is He Now: Unknown. He could possibly be working for Kitana in
Edenia.

Miscellaneous Facts and Notes:

Rain was shown in the intro for UMK3 in the arcades, but he was not
actually in the game. It was just those wacky Midway guys trying to trick
you into inserting more tokens.

Before his story was finalized, the idea for Rain was that he was going to
be a member of the Lin Kuei. This made it in to some of the manuals by
accident.

I think it's cool he has a purple outfit like the linkuei !!! i like it..! ermac wasn't in the lin keui either so =P!

I have looked upon some very very cool Rain pics in different links i found. It was actually a sub-zero pic in his alt costume but they changed the colours and added a few cool things.

Just basing it upon the fake pics i saw he should be in the game. Heck, I even liked him im Mortal Kombat; Conquest

I originally wasn't gonna put Rain or Jade into my own mk6 storyline, but after seeing the pics of them by Bleed, and the Rain pic by Dauntless, I was very inspired by them.

If MK6 was going to have Rain, I think using those pics for reference would be awesome.
