I'm not trying to be rued, and with all respect to the whoever did the writting for MK:DA, but, I believe that Tobias is a genius. I'm not saying that the story for MK:DA was'nt good~~it was very good in some areas, but there is no denying that it was definitely lacking depth. And, I don't know if anyone else feels the same way, but I think they went a little too dar with the new-kombatants-on-the-block roster. And, Johnny Cage was so inconsistant with the storyline.

Johnny Cage, alone, almost completely ruined the game, for me.

I know you might ask, why are you so worried about the storyline, why not just play the game. The truth is, there's hardly any gameplay to really get into, not enough to save the game. The gameplay just was'nt that deep, and definitely not complex. Once you've unlocked everything in the krypt, there's really no reason to play it.

The point of this post is, unless they find a writer like John Tobias (which I doubt), or add more depth to the game, I hate to say it, but Mortal Kombat will die. A lot of you say it won't, but, in reality, it will.

Don't blame Cage. He COULD be a good character, but instead all they ever do is the same storyline for him. He's farily popular, so they just throw him in. I could think of hundreds of ways to actually involve him in the real storyline, instead of just some movie script. Well, I am sure people would like Tobias back, but when he left, Lui Kang did die. So at least be thankful for that.

Well since he wrote Classic Sub-Zero's UMK3/MKT ending, I always wanted to know what that ending really meant. John Vogel now writes the storyline and I'm glad that Liu Kang and Shao Kahn are dead. I think Johnny Cage should have stayed dead because his storyline isn't that great and it needs a huge evolution for me to be interested in his character. The same goes for people like Sonya, Jax, Kitana, and Rayden as well as some others.

As for the gameplay, I actually thought it was quite deep. The most important thing to me when it came to the gameplay was the actual fighting, and I thought it was pretty deep and unique. I hope the gameplay can evolve even more in the future, but I really liked it in MKDA. All they need to do is add more to the fighting experience and improve on the Krypt content if they bring the Krypt back.

I am also glad that Liu Kang and Shao Kahn are dead, so when they eventually make the game a movie, he won't win... Anyway I miss John Tobias, if not for him, we wouldn't have the Saibot in Noob Saibot...

P.S. Johnny Cage should still be dead, and Kenshi shouldn't have taken the place of Ermac...

I think losing a writer is terrible for continuity. For example, if Tobias was still around, Reiko probably would've been Shao Kahn, the Classic Sub Zero's identity would have been revealed, and so forth. Now, you have to deal with..

"Oh, it's not really that. (quickly writes substitute story line)"
