Personally I think this time around we'll get everything promised. But there are some people who seem to think that getting excited about Deception is just setting up for more disapointments. I don't think so, but what do you guys think?

It doesn't hurt to get excited, as long as you keep it controlled. With MKDA, I thought it was gonna be the best fighting game ever...and I stopped playing it after 3 weeks.

I was extraordinarily disappointed in MKDA, and because of that, I had absolutely no care about MK:D until the first screens and info started surfacing. As of now, I am excited, but only mildly...I don't want to get hyped up over a potential disappointment. But im sure MKD will be great.

Well, Boon and the gang certainly have been a little "hush-hush" about Deception for quite some time now. We have not received ANY hard updates regarding new stages, more new/returning characters, or even fatalities since the OPS magazine article. And I think they may say, "wait until the game is released and you'll find out," which could lure us into such hype, and probably set us up for HUGE disappointment!
They're going to have to do a lot to keep me satisfied.. MK:DA better look like a damn beta version of MK:D.. no.. ALPHA!

It better rock ass.

Im lookin for solid, realistic animation..

Like in a Team Ninja or Namco title.. their better be beads of sweat down those animators faces articulating pimps like Noob Saibot.

Skull bits 'n chunks 'n goo.

I certainly hope they don't do that! No more updates and wait for the game release? That would suck. But if that were to happen, I think your theory of the outcome is valid. It would also make me suspicious as to why they wouldn't show anything else. Maybe it could be explained that they want it to be a complete surprise but I don't think I'd buy that, there would have to be something else to it I think (Like maybe the game is a lot more on the MKDA side than they would have liked and they want to make sure we buy it anyway.) Not that DA was a bad game it was just rushed and you could tell. I like it and still play it, but I expect Deception to be better, especially with all the new promised things to come.

Perhaps, no new details have surfaced because some minor changes are being implemted. I think they might be adding some final touches from our feedbacks in the forums. Giving us what we want. Of cource not everyone is going to get what they want from the game. How can they? The MK fan base is very large and diverse. We all want something a little different from the other fan next to us. I do hope they can some how manage to find a balance though. I will be patient so they don't feel they have to rush it and we recieve an unfinished product.

I'm gonna have to buy a whole new system to play MK:Deception.I think it's worth it,since Midway is making so many great games like...

1.Mortal Kombat:Deception
2.Psi-Ops:The Mindgate Conspiracy
3.NBA Ballers

I think MK:Deception will be awesome.I mean just look at the side games...

1.Konquest
2.Puzzle Kombat
3.Chess Kombat(I'm not sure what it's called)

Also it has multiple fatalitys, cool characters,multi-tiered levels and...

I think the MK Team can definetly pull it off. They have been working on it for a long time and since a lot of people complained about MK:DA I know that they will do their best.

i was really dissapointed in mkda ever since it came out i decided i would never buy another mk game because i dont think midway edboon and whoever else really care about quality anymore theyre more interested in making there crappy movies/tv shows

im not getting my hopes up at all i dont even care, when the game comes out ill wait for reviews and peoples opinion on it and if its good i might buy it
i just hope midway puts some effort into it this time i really wouldnt mind if i had to wait an extra 6months + for midway to finish off the game properly this time just dont need another repeat of mkda

I think so. MK:DA was a huge step in the right direction for the MK series. Having new fight styles helped also. The only thing that MK:DA missed out on was the fact that since Boon and Co. made a "new" MK game that they left alot of what past MK games had. Multiple Fatalities for the fighters, stage fatalities, decent hidden fighters. I liked the game but stopped playing after I unlocked all the kryptalot of worthless shit in there}, got the 2 worst excuses for hidden fighters in any game and beaten it w/every figher. A month I spent and after that it was a little here and there.

MK:D has been kept secret for awhile now and Boon is just now letting us know just a litte about MK:D. So far he has heard the fans and giving us what we want. Stage fatalities or "Death Traps" is a huge welcome back, the same fight styles in the MK:DA, muliple fatalities, interactive stagesmultiple floors or stages}, a new Konquest Mode, 2 awesome mini-games, online play and the Krypt returning should keep us entertain for a long time. I prefer knowing less unlike last year when we saw just about every fatality online before the game came out. Give us a little here and there and I'll be happy till October.

I think think MKD will have everything. I think it will be great and I have faith in the MKTeam. Past games show they can do things right, but they also show they can do them wrong. MKDA was one of those right things despite the lack of some of the past elements that make up MK.

MKD will improve upon MKDA and should be the best MK experience upon release, however I just hope the character list is better! I'm hoping and think that it will be bigger than the 24 they have stated.

I also hope that all the online stuff and the new game modes are not there as a disguise to cloud over the negative points of the game. I hope they truly put a 100% effort into everything in MKD.

I have complete and total faith in Ed Boon and the MK crew.

I don't think there's ANY POSSIBLE WAY THAT I CAN BE DISAPPOINTED BY THIS GAME. Baraka!! In 3-D! Not only that. 2 fatalities. stage fatalities. hari kari moves (We've been talking about suicide moves since MK 2 THAT IS 10 YEARS AGO!!!!!) death traps, new weapons, new characters and returning charaters. The graphics already look better than DA. Konquest #2 which promises EVERY MK CHARACTER EVER. You could spend literally hours playing Konquest by itself. Plus the online capabilities. You could play Mortal Kombat at 3 in the morning with someone from Hong Kong! How sweet is that!? Personally I'm freaking pumped for this game (as if you couldn't tell) and I don't think there's any way I can be disappointed.

I don't care if they leave out ripped clothes or sweating faces. Or even battle damaged faces for that matter. It's Mortal Kombat. I've palyed and loved Mortal Kombat for over 10 years and I am sure that Mortal Kombat Deception will be no exception. It will not disappoint. It will DOMINATE.

What hurt the Development of MKDA was the fact that they had to start kompletely from scratch. I think they were expecting to use the physics/fighting engine from MK4, but ran into issues. That killed their development for everything else.

Since the engine from MKD is just MKDA tweaked up a bit they can work on everything else. We only saw a portion of what the engine could do in MKDA.

But will they throw in another lie about secrets in the game that don't exist?
