I damn well HOPE Kitana is going to be in MKD! And I hope the folks from Midway reveal more details on who those last few returning characters are, too! There is one character who resimbles Li Mei, and was originally mistaken for Kitana. I have a feeling that Kitana will be a no-show for MKD. I can care less whether that one chick in question is Li Mei or not. I've been a Kitana fan since her debut in MK2, and all I want is Kitana in this game. If she's not in MKD, then I want an explanation as to why not!

But that's totally different from being confirmed as a playable character in the game. Well, we have not seen a weapon style for this character in question. Once we do, then we'll know whether it's Kitana or not. The character in question is wearing more of a reddish (maybe even pinkish) purple, where as Kitana's alt costume in MKDA was more of a bluish purple. Kitana has pretty much always worn blue. But then again, having totally different outfit color from a previous MK is nothing new. Remember Jax? He wore a different color outfit in MK3 than he did in MK2. Reptile also had his outfit color changed in MK4.

In the "OPM" pic where sindel with the crown outfit is kicking another female fighter. People say its Li Mei. I scanned it and zoomed in her head area. To me it looks like i could see big sharp teeth. With really long hair. Maybe as long as kitanas from MKDA but this time its loose. Shes also wearing some type of bandana. She definately has something around her mouth. Im not sure if its sharp teeth or one of those things that kitana, mileena, jade wear around their mouths. I dont think its li mei in the picture.

it definately has to be her, she has a deformed mouth. Definately not li mei.

Firts off...Kitana should be in MK:Deception...if she is not then I will be very mad!!! How can you have Sindel, and mileena in but not her. Second of all for all the people who say that its not Le Mei because they wouldnt put two people with sais in then what about in MKDA when Scorpion and Kenshi both had kitanas with the same exact moves!!!

Scorpion and Kenshi had identical weapon moves, yes. Even though both weapons have the same origins (both are Japanese weapons), their weapons were distinctively different. Scorpion's Ninja Sword was straight, probably had blades on both edges, and was shorter, while Kenshi's Katana was, well...just that. Curved, blade on one end, and longer. And Kenshi and Scorpion weren't the only two characters who had completely identical weapon moves. Hsu Hao's Sun-Moon and Kano's Butterfly Knife both had identical moves, too.

They wont put in two similar characters with the same weapons. How many times has the MKTeam changed something at the last minute or totally threw us off..

Anything is possible.. and soon we will know the whole character list.. which sucks.. because back in the day we had to visit the arcade every day to find out the new characters.. we had to wait for the damn machine to arrive! Not go online every 10 minutes to find out what the next confirmed fighter is..

Probably in her home realm for whatever reason, whether she suffered injuries that landed her in the hospital (or whatever Edenia's equivalent is) either undergoing surgery or ordered to stay home by doctor's orders, pregnancy (then who's the father?), or simply to rule Edenia in Sindel's absence, since Sindel is in MKD.

And Bloodline666 - I've seen Outworld222's source. They confirmed Kitana and someone else! We'll just have to wait for an update to know if it is 100% accurate!

I've seen the source, too, and unfortunately, this same "source" is notorious for not being legit. I have a thing for not trusting sources with a bad reputation.

You may not trust Outworlds source, but I trust my source. I checked with my source and they confirmed Kitana being in the game along with the other person mentioned at Outworld's source.

I'm still waiting for the update though!

Well, since you have said many with Li Mei, until there is not official confirmation, we cannot give validity to unofficial information, and sources outside MKOnline would assure in a 100% that it will not be in the game... who will be right? Until the E3 we will not be able to begin to know it, but some will be ed ***reflx mng in the shade while many others will cry very heartbrokenly... I hope to be of first, although never you will see me with the seconds...

Ok you guys, btw, I'm new here.....hi.

If you check out the exclusive article on the PSM, when they explain what they know about the strategy board game they say: "...when opposing sides come into contact, you'll enter an arena where the two characters can fight it out under the same rules as the normal versus mode..."; well, if you check out the picture carefully, you can clearly notice that there is a character using Kitana's alternate MKDA costume(and you can even see her long hair). However, the pic shows Sub-Zero on his old MKDA costume, as well as Quan-Chi, so I don't know if that could be an old picture and in the final release some characters are deleted/modified. Also in PSM there is a pic of a girl wearing a purple costume kicking Kenshi; they mention that the guy is Kenshi, they do not talk about the girl however. I checked out every screenshot and the costume does not match neither Mileenas original outfit nor her alternate. She does not appear to be Sindel either(even though i haven't seen Sindel's alternate costume).

I think she'll be included, however maybe they got Kitana out of the game and included Mileena and Sindel(for me as Mileena is in, I'm not that worried about Kitana...it was finally time for Mileena to come back)

The fact that Kitana topics keep popping up *ALONE* suggets that she's a very popular character.

I hope the MK team is listening (Ed, you guys read these forums? :) There are a lot of us who really like Kitana.
