Do you think Mavado and Kabal are somehow related in the story?

This thread is not another thread about who's better, who should return, etc. I don't know if it was discussed before, but I'm interested in it, so I'll ask anyway. After playing MK:DA yesterday, I noticed for the first time that Mavado has a move called "Kabal's" something. Do you think they just put in there because Kabal had the hookswords or perhaps there is more to it?

Mavado won't have any connection too kabal's story in deception,in mkda his ending stated that he's now going too destroy the Lin Quea clan after he defeated Kano the last member of the BlackDragon clan.In his ending you can see Sub Zero standing behind him as a image too show you it's Sub Zero and him who would be fighting in deception,I just hope he kills frost before Sub Zero.

One of Mavado's moves is called "Kabal's revenge" or "Kabal's Return" or something of that kind.

I agree. Mavado and Kabals' only connection this that they were once part of rivial gang members. Of course not anymore since Kabal doesn't work for the Black Dragon.

i think its Kabals Torture or Kabals Demise.. one of the two and yes they are of rival clans im pretty sure this is how it goes, The Black Dragon is made up of Ex-Red Dragons and Mavado wants all of the Black Dragon to die cuz of that... Kabal was an Ex-Black Dragon yet Mavado still "Killed" him but more like as of now he beat Kabal within an Inch of Death
