I actually hope it goes back to the 2D style of the older MKs. More strategy was involved. In MKDA, all you need to do is connect once with a kick or punch, and then perform a crazy combo and drain half their life bar easily. If u have a programmed pad, then it sucks all that more.

Of course i want it to retain the awesome graphics of mkda though

Well I would like a deep rooted counter/dodge system to be implemented. On top of that the gameplay could be faster.

I don't know, but I sure hope so

But doesnt anyone agree that MKDA's gameplay was kinda broken? I mean the balance is way off among n00bs and pros that play this game. Combo tacticians will tear you apart if you let them land a single hit on you. If you cant perform combos well, then you have no chance of defeating an experienced, well versed in combos, mkda player. Even the ai was pretty brutal on higher difficulties.

I agree, to me, MK:DA was'nt a very good 2-player game. I say that because, I never had any competition. I do think that the gameplay was a little broken...and not complex enough. I was actually very disappointed in the gameplay of MK:DA. I thought that it would be more complex than it was. To me, MK:DA was just "eye candy." It looked fantastic, but there was not enough substance to back it up.
Overall, I think that they have an awesome concept, but, the system just needs to be evolved, that's all.
Well maybe if they had 1 hand\1weapon styles instead of 3 each style can be better done.
Maybe they can even merge the two hand styles into 1 through a system where u have a primary stlye but while doing certain moves u go into a secondary style to make up for areas where each style lacks.
I think Toa Feng was suppose to have a sytem like this but i haven't played it so i don't know how it turned out or if it was even implemented.

Wow, I predicted all you guys would not be mk fans for long, because youre into 2 D graphics;
Forget about it. Never again will mk be in 2D. Dont you realize MK will be finished if it goes to 2D? Are you guys routing for the downfall of MK? All other fighting games are 3D, so get over it. Thanks

hey outworld no one is saying anything about going back to 2d, the subject is on the controls of the game which is totally different than the dimention of the game.

I feel MKDA was a great start to sumthing astonishing. But it is expandable. Things'll change and sum could stay the same. It's really could stepping stone for MK6 to continue on. They should also kontinue the storyline.

i feel that MK6 will retain MK:DA's gameplay, but it will be improved and tweaked to make the best out of it. I don't, and I want to make it absolutely clear, I don't want MK6 to copy ANY OTHER fighting game on the market (VF, Tekken, DOA, SC, etc.) MK should be MK, nothing else.

Tekken has about zero flow and feels very disjointed. On the other end of the scale Soul Calibre 2 is like one completely seamless experience.
MK has always been about the snapping hits and combos, which has some flow to it but I reckon it could do with a bit more, and a good countering system would help in that regard.
