Do you think Shinnok should ever return?

If they revamp his looks and give him new moves, should Shinnok ever return to the MK series. I think it would be interesting to discover that the reason Shao Kahn was able to recover his armies and strength in time to battle the Dragon King was because he was aided by Shinnok... Naturally, either Shao or Shinnok would betray each other eventually.
Shinnok looked best in MK Mythology.

I really liked Shinnok's demon form in MKM:Subzero after you stole his amulet, it would be kool if there was a netherealm stage in MK6 and you can knock you're opponent in a dark pit then have demon Shinnok eat you alive or something.

he should never return, they should just leave it as Quan-Chi killed him and thats it. Hes gone, forever hopfully.

Nah, i think bringing back Shinnok would eb a very bad move. He was the lamest boss ever. He was basically a shang Tsung rip off, and a very bad one at that. Never bring him back.

Nah, I think storyline wise, Shinnok coming back would be no different than if they brought Shao Kahn back.
At least Shao Kahn had his own moves.

Shinnok had a good story. The fallen Elder God who was corrupted by power. If used properly, he'd be a perfect foil to Rayden. That said, he looked more like an evil shriner or a an evil bellhop in MK4 than anything else. His silly red hat, his strange costume etc, and his lack of moves (and he didn't even morph into the character who's moves he did!! Seriously, was the polygon technology that primitave? Shang could do it in MK1!!) made a character with an interesting story completely uninteresting.
I'd like to see him look more like he did in MK: Annihilation. The dark robe with the hood. He can still have the grey face and the green eyes, but he could definitely stand to look more ominous. That, and for ruling the netherealm, the guy could definitely use some moves.
Great story, horrible execution. Bring him back if his looks and moves can be fixed. I think he could still serve a very valid plot function.

True. Although, I have to admit that I miss kicking his ass and handing it back to him after beating the hard boss battle with Goro. I think he should not return. Since he is a god and gods are already immortal, him blowing up to smitherings does not give him a room to come back anyway.

Shinnok should not return. His story would be basically the same as Shao Kans if he did return. And unlike Kahn, he was not a good boss and was basically wasted potential.

Nope he shouldn't. And besides he was destroyed by either his "ancinet enemy" or his "right nad man"

I think having Shinnok return in MK6 is a bad move. They need to give some warning if they were going to do it, and see how people reacted.
I don't think they should just pretend he didn't exist, though. I would like to see Noob Saibot and/or Mileena obsessed with bringing him back.

Shinnok was terribly lame. In concept, he was cool, but in execution, he was a Shang Tsung clone...a VERY POOR Shang Tsung clone. Shinnok is dead, and should stay that way
I think they should bring back Shinnok in the Test your Might part of the game. All you do is press buttons really fast to gain power. Then, when time expires and your power has reached it's maximum, your character kicks him in the ass really hard and sends him flying across the screen. Kind of like a lawn dart. There could be a bullseye type of thing a few feet away from him. The closer you get to the middle of the bullseye, the more coins you get. Is it obvious that I hate Shinnok?

Since Noob is returning we might see him back.

Perhaps in MK7, but not MKD. There just isn't any room for him in the story, unless it turns out that Quan Chi was really Shinnok in disquise. Also, how many dieties do you want in MKD? Hopefully Raiden will be there, this Ashrah is assumed to be a goddess, and don't forget poor Fujin. There's more reason to bring back Fujin, after all he is the Protector of Earthrealm now.
I really did like the concept of the Fallen Elder God, but was extremely disappointed on how he turned out in MK4. If they do bring him back in the future, there would need to be some major rework on him. So much in fact, it would basically be a brand new character. They have done this before, so I wouldn't be too suprised if this did happen.
Sidenote1: If all the Elder Gods are as weak as Shinnok was in MK4, I now know why they haven't done anything as their rules were being broken.
Sidenote2: In regards to Shinnok being killed in the endings, very few endings eventually become part of the actual storyline. Anyway, for some reason the dead just can't seem to stay dead in the worlds of Mortal Kombat. We have Johnny Cage and Shang Tsung to name a few characters that have returned from the dead and they are mortal. Surely, a diety could pull off the same stunt.
