I think he's definetly going to have a huge role in Deception, maybe that's why they haven't shown him yet. I hope that he comes back bordering on nuetral and evil. I want a darker image of Smoke. And yes, although Sektor is my second fav character, Smoke would....well smoke him in a fight.

It'd be great to see Smoke versus Sub-Zero though, just something really unexcpected. Last time we saw Smoke, he was good and best friends with Sub-Zero, know I wanna see Sub-Zero at the recieving end of Smoke's fist for some reason. (For some reason every time I think of Smoke I hear MegaManX4's intro stage in my head.)

Yeah i know what your talking about man. I always wanted to see smoke fight sub-zero. The only way it could possibly happen is if hes cyborg though. Somebody has to program him to kill sub-zero or something. I really don't know who would win. Probably sub-zero because he has to cheat and use the dragon medallion. Smoke would kill sub-zero if he didnt have the dragon medallion. If smoke is cyborg in mkda his fighting styles should be ninjitsu, kendo or ju jitsu.

Alls i can say is look at Reptile in MK:DA it took sooo long for them to show us Reptile and he turned out to have the biggest part in MK:DA (hes the DK not Shao Kahn don't care what anyone says) so i think that Smoke will play a very crucial part in MK:D i am honestly hoping for him to be evil it'd be to easy to say "Smoke returns to help his former friend Sub-Zero rebuild the Lin Kuei and rid earthrealm of evil doers" i want Smoke to have a completely different storyline because honestly as much as i loved Smoke in previous games his story wasn't that great and i'm wishing for something new for Smoke in MK:D

His story was awesome, better than alot of other character's. Just give him his own moveset and continue with his story and he would rock.

I think smoke and sektor should team up and go after sub-zero. That would be fuckin awesome. I want them to kill sub-zero. Sub-zero is an overated character and he is going downhill. He is getting old and sick. He needs to be killed, and smoke, sektor, and the red dragon could do it. Another suggestion i have is the dragon king reprogramming smoke to steal the dragon medallion off of sub-zero and returning it to the dragon king. Thus, sub-zero regains his youth and all of subbie's fans are happy not to see him old and nasty.

Smoke will be playing a very good role in MKD.

Sub-Zero's story is getting a little better. At least his story and appearance is changing. If anyone is getting old its Scorpion. His story needs to get better or just DIE!

I dont get where you think smoke could whip sub-zero's ass. I like smoke but popularity dosent mean hes a great warrior. Thats like saying scorpion could kill Liu Kang. Sub-Zero is alot more powerful then smoke because of the DM.

Right on i have no idea how your going go and say that Sub-Zero is over rated when we have this ninja spectre whos story hasn't changed once since MK1 and hes been in EVERY MK GAME EVER Scorpion needs to do something different i can't take anymore of this coming back from the dead for revenge shit i mean how many times can one do that i mean dosen't it get old if Scorpion is boons favorite character you'd think he'd give him a better storyline the coming back from the dead for revenge worked in the first two games after that he shoulda had a story change for shoulda been killed off but no boon decided to keep his favorite character the same as always one thing i will say is that Scorpion looks awesome with that gold plate of a mask he has

I think he will. It's about time he did play an important role in MK. His return should see him set up for good things.

I don't see how Smoke turning on Sub-Zero would be all that orginal. Frost, the other cyber-ninjas, probably Sereena, and not to mention the entire old Lin Kuei clan have done it already. Its been done over and over; does anyone who swears loyality/friendship to Sub-Zero actually mean it?

I think Smoke should retain his alliance with Sub-Zero, but he should still be a dark character: His methods of dealing with his enemies should be quite brutal as he's got alot of anger to get out. Smoke and Sektor should clash hardcore, since Sektor basicly represents the terrible things the former Lin Kuei did to Smoke.

Like I said in a billion other threads, I truly believe the only reason we're seeing Smoke again is because MKD takes place in the outworld, and my theory is he's taken refuge in the living forest for the last few years. With that said, I'm sure they're going to further build off the alliance between him and Subzero.

But remember, Subzero is now the most important character in MK at the moment. As his purpose gains value, so does Smoke's. With all scars Smoke has endured through his past, I'm sure he wouldn't fight again unless he was under the threat threat of death(assuming he has a will to live), or if his best friend was in danger. So of course Smoke will probably be good. But if Subzero's alignment changes from being overly corrupted by the medallion, then that changes everything. But so far, I don't think Smoke will be evil. It would be a terrible mistake to make him such anyway.

So yeah, he may not play the largest role in the story, but he'll play the part which always made him my favorite character.

Smoke should be the ultimate badass. He has the story, and the mystique to get him that far. Smoke should be one of those character that can either kill you on the spot or show mercy at others. The only character that I can think of comparing him to is Tsumie,from Wolf's Rain or Solus from Breakdown.
In one of the threads I wrote a Smoke story, maybe some of you have seen it. It was in the Character Spec. thread. What if after saving Sub-Zero from Cyrax and Sektor, Smoke and Sub-Zero have a dialouge in which Smoke tells Sub-Zero that because of his cyborg frame, he can't promise an alliance with Sub-Zero. The next time they meet, Sub-Zero might be at the end of Smokes fist, because of circumstances or personal reasons. It's like having a best friend for a long time. Then they leave and you don't see them for a while. Then one day you catch up with them and you can't stand each other.
P.S. I'm still hearing MegaManX4 in my head while typing this. Is this wrong?

In another thread it was stated that Sub-Zero might be corrupted by the "Dragon" Medallion(just theories). So maybe Smoke is here to help sub-zero become good again.

I hope Smoke's role will be important to MK:D. As to how he will be, I don't know and wont make up ideas. Guess we have to wait.
