realy I love havik ;not his primary costume though, it's pretty faginsh, but his alternet is awsome, and i love his moves. Darue has also grown on me and i think their is alot of room for expantion in his character.

Wow...I just realized...all the new characters suck balls. At least, they're not very interesting to play as, look at, or read about. Here's my opinion on all of them:
-Ashrah's design sucks IMO, her moves are unoriginal, and her styles are boring;
-Dairou is decent, but he seemed so much cooler in the concept art from MKDA, plus his costume seems to bulky, and his specials and the Wing Chun style suck;
-Darrius is poorly designed (really doesn't fit the Seidan look) and has boring styles and specials;
-Havik at least looks cool, but because Snake and STD were both in MKDA he's pretty boring to play as;
-Hotaru, plot-wise, stands for everything that pisses me off, and his lack of combos makes him a dull play.
-Kira's rehashed styles and specials make her another yawner;
-Kobra seems like Ken from SF, with a plot closer to Ryu's (but more evil)...in other words, he just lacks the originality of the MK universe;
-Shujinko's theft of Kung Lao's styles disappointed me. Early on we were told we could choose his styles and specials, but that promise was broken. Also, I don't like the fact that he has no original special moves, and in fact steals trademark moves like Scorpion's Spear and Sub-Zero's Freeze.
But on the plus side, most of the returning characters that weren't in MKDA at least FEEL new because this is their first appearence on the new fighting engine. This is especially true of Ermac, who has great styles and a totally revamped look.

I really like shujinko. He's a killer :D

my favorite new charactar is HAVIK....he has the most awesome look on the game...(even his primary costume has grown on me)...two of the best styles from D.A.(i don't have a problem with this...i just don't see how everyone thinks it's impossible for two people to have the same styles) and his story has so much potential...chaos is his thing and the whole time leading up to this game i more or less took that fact for granted...never once thinking that he would bring shao kahn back to life in his ending....and he has so many ways he could go...one second he could be on the side of evil because they're causing the most chaos or (in the case of deception) leads the good guys to the boss......
my second favorite would have to be kobra more or less because he is about the best fighter on the game all around...very fast...great combos but otherwise i think he's pretty stale......him joining the black dragon was more or less a way to give him relevance in an otherwise meaning-less existence...which is pretty sad

I personally think this is one of the best new casts since MK2. While I don't like everybody, there are a few freshman standouts that I just like the design of and like to play as.
Kira: Maybe I just have a thing for redheads, I dunno. But she's also plenty fun to play with an interesting combination of Kano and Sonya's abilities. Plus as a member of the new Black Dragon, her story is interesting. I hope at least two of the Black Dragon members show up next game.
Kobra: Also very fun to play as, though his design is a touch boring. But you can't have everything.
Ashrah: The coolest new concept of all the characters. A demon looking for redemption by slaying other demons with a holy sword? Sweet! Also very fun to play as, but I hope they alter her look a bit for the next MK.
Hotaru: Not a big fan of the flags, but I like his alt. He may have short combos, but all his moves are pretty powerful and good for catching the opponent off guard. It surprised me that I ended up being good with him. His story has potential as well.
Darrius: I like his design, though everyone does seem to bag on it. I admit it doesn't really fit from what we've seen of the Seidan, but I like it anyways. He's also fun to play as, and his story as a rebel is cool.
Shujinko: What can I say, I would have missed Kung Lao a lot more if it weren't for him. Kung Lao was one of my best characters in MKDA, so it was a relief to find someone with his styles. Plus, I felt a bit attached to him after playing as him for all those hours of Konquest. I liked some of his younger character designs better than the old one, however. Particularly his third and fourth appearances.

So far I like Havik and Ashrah best.
Good with Havik, think he looks cool and I like his character. He's just a nut job who starts trouble for the sake of starting trouble.
Asrhah's cool too. Good to use and good story. My only gripe about Ashrah is that she kind of stole Sareena's story.
I like Kira even though her moves aren't original. I'll admit, I don't really care about Kano or Sonya so I'm not really outraged about it.
Kobra's okay. I haven't really used him that much.
The Order Realm story isn't interesting me at all. Dairou, Darrius, Hotaru....IMO all boring.
Especially don't like Hotaru. Very bland to me.
Don't like Shujinko either. One, they might as well brought back Kung Lao in my opinion. Two, I don't like the idea of him being the new "hero." Three, I just don't like him. I was playing Konquest and at some point I said to myself, "I don't like Shujinko, I hope he dies."

I like Hotaru just because I love his Grasshopper move. But his lack of combos is what kinda pisses me off. I like Havik in his alternate costume. He has Snake and Tang Soo Do which are Shang Tsung and Quan Chi's fighting styles from MK:DA, so that's what I think is cool about him. Shujinko is awesome cause he has the best special moves. So I think I like Shujinko more.

I've really enjoyed Dairou. He looks a bit funny (especially in his alt) but he has awesome special moves. Tombstone Drop is great to catch your opponent off guard and it's the ultimate n00b destroyer. He also has the best teleport in the game. Not to metion he has a simple 6 hit combo that does 46% which is really awesome.
I guess Hotaru is alright. All the other new characters seem kind of bland to me though.

My favorite new charachters are Kira, Dairou, Hotaru and Havik. I really don't care for any of the new chars in Deception as is, but I think these 4 have the most potential.
Kira: She just needs some of her own moves. I like that she keeps the cannonball alive and all, but the way she steals Sonya's kiss of death is just kind of lame. (LOL though I love how it has no effect on Kenshi!)
Dairou: Is probably the best off move wise. His moves are all pretty original, and his fighting style reminds alot of Drahmin's. Using alternative tatictics to take down you're enemy. Such as the Tomb Stone Drop, That is a pretty strange move.
Hotaru: Though they did sort of keep him as a samuria I think since he wasn't a true japanese samuria they should have removed the flags from his back. It would have been awesome addition if he was samuria, but he isn't anymore.
Havik: Again a pretty strange char. Both move wise and story. His presence in Deception leaves so many roads wide open for MK7.

I love Ashrah's story, looks, and moves. I'm really good with her.
Havik I've only got to play with in Konquest and from what I did, he was fun.
I love Hotaru's specials.
I really want to play as Kira
I don't really like anyone else.

I like the new cast, but they're just unoriginal. Especially Ken.

I love Havik other then that I mainly stick to the old schooler's (Ermac, Baraka)

Sure her moves aren't original, but I like her combos and appearance and that she's teamed with my boy Kabal.
Took two characters I never truly cared about and put it into one sweet package- score!
Though I hope she gets a more interesting ending tournament related story next time 'round.

I really like Havik. His moves, his Fatalities, his design, everything. I hope he sticks around for a while.

I actualy really like Sujinko but thats it.
All the rest are a joke. Havik is OK but just barly.
Kobra is something they shoud be ashamed of. He is the love child of Johny boy and ken masters with a disrurbing obsestion with GI Joe.
Ahshrah I would have like better if her alt was her base look, and her default style didn't look like she was taking a dump. The story I liked but she's too high and mighty. That and she looks like a heavenly bee keeper.
I won't miss a single one of them if I never see them again.

Kira IS the best new character.
Look at the big picture. Kano and Sonya were getting a little same old and needed a break. When the 3 are present in the same game then styles/moves will be changed for some/all of them.
She is fine this way, this time.

I like Ashrah too, I just wsh her two concept costumes were her actual costumes, but then i guess that kinda makes me a perv. don't care.
