Last Update: 10/21/04 - Minor edits. I may have my own hypothesis coming soon.
So checking out all the endings of Mortal Kombat: Deception, one must wonder what the heck is going to happen? What storylines could follow through - even partially - to spell an end to Deception, and bring in the dawning of a sequel? Well, I decided to make this topic about it, to showcase which endings could possibly happen to the game.
Once again, I will warn if you don't want to see it: THIS CONTAINS SPOILERS THAT WILL NOT BE BLOCKED OFF BY THE "ADD SPOILER" FEATURE. Also, for those who lack a lot of cells of the brain, any ending ideas that are made by me or any fans, should NOT BE CONSIDERED OFFICIAL. We're not the writers of this game, and I seriously doubt any one of us has contact with the actual writers. This is just to let all our imaginations run wild.
In addition, I could edit this topic without any real notice, so if you like it, check back every once in a while. I'll note when I update it with whatever.
Now, on with it:
CHARACTER ENDINGS
We know what endings were true in Deadly Alliance. We know what happened to end Deadly Alliance. We know what happened to begin Deception. We know the storylines of the characters in Deception. Now, we address the specific endings of all the warriors. Here they are in nutshells:
Scorpion - He destroys attacking Tarkatas, then kills the Dragon King alone. He is said to be the only one able to do it, as per being the Elder God's warrior.
Baraka - He catches onto Mileena's betrayal, and sends a Tarkatan to meet her in his place, knowing what will happen. He sends remaining Tarkatans after Sub-Zero, and ambushes and kills Mileena himself.
Sub-Zero - He's ambushed by Tarkatas in the forest, and decides his dying act will be to kill as many as he can. Before he can die, his armor infuses him with power, and as he destroys them, one dies with the final words "Long live the Dragon King."
Mileena - She sends Edenia's army to fight with the Tarkatans to further her charade, and realizes she has a very powerful army. In order to keep it, she kills Baraka, the only one who knows the truth.
Nightwolf - He uses an incantation and the gathered sins of his people to bind Onaga to the Netherrealm. He is then expelled from it, his soul no longer corrupted.
Ermac - He fights off the captured comrades of Liu Kang, as Liu's soul personally frees them all from control. As they celebrate, Ermac senses the might of an ominous force controlling Onaga and the realms.
Ashrah - She finds Noob and Smoke in the Netherrealm, and because Smoke is having trouble working in the realm, she fights Noob alone. Slaying him, she's finally freed, the sword staying behind.
Sindel - She finds the sarcophagus of the Dragon King's real body, which is missing its armor, and also notes Edenian runes of a spell. Onaga shows up and uses Kitana to attack them. Jade fights off Kitana, and Sindel drives her blade into the corpse's heart, screaming the incantation. This rips Onaga from Reptile's body and sends it into his real corpse, which is unable to live because of the blade. Kitana is freed, and they rejoice.
Li Mei - She goes into battle with other Earthrealm warriors, but the closer she got to Onaga, the more s he realized what Onaga could accomplish. She sided with him, giving him enough time to make the Kamidogu and win the battle. She then became is queen and was given unspeakable power.
Bo'Rai Cho - He was giving up hope on his quest, before the soul of Liu Kang gave him inspiration. He made a truce between Outworld's leaders and led the rest of Kitana's armies to finish off Baraka and his hordes, giving the people of Outworld inspiration to rise up over Onaga.
Hotaru - He captured the rogue Sub-Zero before the Dragon King, and was given the privledge of killing him. He killed Kenshi in the progress.
Kenshi - He and Sub-Zero travelled at night. Before they could escape to freedom, Hotaru attacked with a blinding flash. Kenshi was unaffected, and before Hotaru could kill Sub-Zero, he was sliced in half.
Havik - He came up to Onaga's defeated corpse and rips out its heart, absorbing it and gaining the power of resurrection. He uses the power to resurrect Shao Kahn, intending to bring chaos back to Outworld.
Tanya - She gives Onaga the info he needed to make the One Kamidogu. When he did, she steals it and attains its power. She kills him and becomes the Ultimate Overlord of the realms.
Liu Kang - Onaga is dead and his allies are safe, but Liu must still stop his undead body from its reign of terror. He fights with it, but is dead even. But then, he's hit with an electrifying blast, and soul and body become one again.
Kira - The Black Dragon succeeded in aiding Havik, and now, Kira and Kobra must face off to decide who is fit for the group. Kira kills Kobra, and is given the privledge of deciding the next two combatants to face off for entry into the Black Dragon.
Kabal - He and the Black Dragon help Havik to retrieve the heart. He however kills Havik, wanting the heart and power of resurrection for Black Dragon.
Kobra - He is very eager to fight, but they must wait for the heroes to win. When they do, the Black Dragon tears into the scene and kills all the remaining heroes. Kobra is highly satisfied.
Jade - She knew Tanya would have to die before Onaga was stopped. She faked defeat in battle to be captured by Tarkatans. When Tanya approached, Jade hit her with a bottle of pure Tarkata essence. Baraka and the others immediately attacked Tanya in a rage.
Dairou - He approaches Hotaru and tells of his mission to kill him. They battle, and Dairou is victorious. But before he could tell who sent him, Hotaru dies.
Raiden - He has made it his perogative to punish those who threaten Earthrealm. Despite the fact that Shujinko lead the charge to defeat Onaga, his sins of the past cannot be forgiven, and Raiden kills him.
Darrius - Dairou steals the Declartion of Order and gives it to Darrius, who makes the announcement. The government officials send Hotaru and his men to attack, but the Resistance is too great in number. The senate would soon be overtaken.
Shujinko - He leads the resistance of many of the realm's fighters, and they offer them their fighting abilities, which he absorbs with his gift. The six Kamidogu and Onaga are no match for a single being with so much might.
Noob-Smoke - He and Smoke make their way into the Netherrealm, but are followed by Sub-Zero: Noob Saibot's little brother. Noob is surprised how strong is brother is, but now a wraith, he can show no pride and compassion. He orders Smoke to assist in slaying Sub-Zero, his first act as ruler of the Netherrealm.
Alright, that's all the endings in a nutshell. In addition, I have to mention the following:
LIU KANG'S ENDING: THE HAVIK THEORY
In Liu Kang's ending, you can see the figure of what appears to be Raiden blasting Liu Kang with electricity and binding his soul back into his body. But some people have made the note that that figure could actually be Havik. This takes place after Onaga's defeat, so Havik could have absorbed the heart and gained power of resurrection. So a point that has been made is that after Havik resurrects Shao Kahn, he could have gone out and assisted Liu Kang in this matter. Doing this would cause more chaos in the future, which is just what Havik wants.
I myself believe that the figure is Raiden, and I have many reasons. For one, I don't know how bad the eyes are on some people, but it's pretty obvious to me that that figure is Raiden, if only by the clothes he's wearing. Next off, the question "If Raiden can resurrect people, why hasn't he in the past?" doesn't work, because he did in fact resurrect Johnny Cage during the Invasion of Shinnok. (MK4) Now the point could be made that Raiden could have resurrected anyone else, but knowing Raiden, would he have wanted to, and was it -fully- possible with his power? (Because I don't know HOW he resurrected Cage, I just know he DID. And before the argument can be made, no, he was NOT an Elder God then. He became an Elder God after Shinnok's defeat.) Next off, if you compare endings, Havik is using sick green energy to resurrect, while you can easily see electricity in Liu Kang's. I don't see why Havik would suddenly change outward method. :P Also, Liu Kang is not being resurrected. His body was -already- resurrected, just now his soul is being merged back into it. How Raiden has this power is unknown, it is also unknown how long he has had it. He could have picked it up while he was an Elder God, but of course, this is a Soul Bind, not a Resurrection, and he was capable of resurrection before Shinnok's defeat and his ascension to Elder God status.
I wouldn't really want to completely rule out the fact that that could be Havik in Liu Kang's ending, because that just opens up another neat little tidbit to what could be the aftermath of Havik's ending: The return of Shao Kahn. But of course, that tidbit is unneeded in the aftermath, and all signs point to that figure just being Raiden. And that makes more sense to me anyway.
Now with that out of the way, let's see which endings tie into each other, or can tie into each other:
ENDING SYNERGIES
Baraka/Sub-Zero/Mileena/Bo'Rai Cho - These all tie in. Bo'Rai Cho is sent into battle by Kitana, but we know that Mileena is charading as Kitana. Mileena would come to the realization here that she has this army, and sets up a meeting with Baraka at the Beetle Lair. Baraka, sends Tarkatans after Sub-Zero, who is not far off. The story can end then in one of two ways: Death of Baraka, or death of Mileena. Kenshi's ending could also be incorporated into this, but that leaves the question of where he would be at the time of Sub-Zero's ambush. (Maybe fighting Hotaru?) And there's also the one logic error in Bo'Rai Cho's ending, and that would be the fact that Baraka himself was out there. That would take away the point of Baraka and Mileena's meeting, which alternately, wouldn't have to happen at all, and rather Baraka would die at the hands of Bo'Rai Cho.
Bo'Rai Cho/Ermac/Sindel/Sub-Zero - Liu and Ermac tie-in in the sense that Liu Kang could have inspired Bo'Rai Cho before he assisted Ermac on the infiltration. Ermac then sensed the presence of what is obviously the One Being, which is manipulating Onaga. Now, the problem with Ermac's ending is that Kitana is present. But we know that endings don't have to be 100% right, so how is this: They infiltrated the outside of Onaga's throne room. So where is Onaga? At the time, he could have taken Kitana to the location of the sarcophagus, where Sindel's ending takes place. Sub-Zero's ending ties in here, because of the obvious reason: The armor.
Noob-Smoke/Ashrah - This ties in in the case that Noob's ending is true. (I seriously doubt it is. Noob may be Sub-Zero's brother, but I don't think this will happen to Sub-Zero.) After Noob kills Sub-Zero, Smoke would start to become unstable while in the Netherrealm because of the good still left in him, and that's when Ashrah kills Noob. Sub-Zero's ending could also be included here, because he could have ended up in the Netherrealm after besting the Tarkatan ambush.
Bo'Rai Cho/Li Mei/Shujinko/Raiden - Bo'Rai Cho's victory over the army would lead the Outworld people to rise against Onaga. That's just the opening Shujinko needs to lead the assortment of warriors up to confront Onaga. Then, one of two things will happen: One, Li Mei betrays her comrades, and it results in her ending. Two, Shujinko kills Onaga, but afterward, is killed by Raiden.
Dairou/Hotaru/Darrius - Darrius' ending makes sense, but the odd man out in the ending is Hotaru. Why would he be there? The only reason he could be is if he killed Sub-Zero, but even then, he'd probably still stay by Onaga's side to recieve further instruction and stop warriors from resisting. Another way these could tie is if Dairou's ending was true, and Darrius was the one who hired Dairou. He could have then ordered Dairou to get the Declartion. This, however, makes Hotaru's presence in Darrius' ending meaningless.
Havik, etc. - Havik's ending is interesting to me. To make this ending true, we would need Scorpion's or Shujinko's ending to be true. In the case of Shujinko's ending, Kabal/Kira/Kobra could have played a part and killed off the heroes. Then, Havik would come in and take the heart, resurrect Kahn, and if the longshot theory is correct, would soul bind Liu Kang. Alternatively, Kabal would be with him, and Kabal would kill him and take the heart, which would then follow through into the Black Dragon ending.
So these are all the possible Havik endings:
Scorpion/Havik - Scorpion kills Onaga, and Havik seizes the opportunity.
Scorpion/Havik/Kabal - Scorpion kills Onaga, and Havik seizes the opportunity, only to have Kabal kill him and take the heart.
Shujinko/Havik - Shujinko and the heroes kill Onaga, and Havik seizes the opportunity.
Shujinko/Havik/Kobra - Shujinko and the heroes kill Onaga, and Havik seizes the opportunity with the help of the Black Dragon taking out the heroes.
Shujinko/Havik/Kobra/Kabal - Shujinko and the heroes kill Onaga, and Havik seizes the opportunity with the help of the Black Dragon taking out the heroes. In the process, Kabal kills him and takes the heart.
Kabal/Kira/Kobra - The ending is going along with the Shujinko/Havik idea, where the Black Dragon assists Havik in getting the heart. Whether or not Kabal kills Havik, this will end in two ways: One, the Black Dragon heads off to their plans. Or two: The Black Dragon heads off, and Kabal proposes Kira and Kobra's fight, with Kira winning.
Jade - This one could easily be true, because Tanya's ending won't happen, certainly. Jade could easily feign her defeat and get taken away during Bo'Rai Cho's fight. Then, the Tarkatans kill Tanya. What happens to Jade then is anyone's guess. And of course, the odd man out in this ending is Baraka. I highly doubt his presence would be here, as opposed to in the battle with Bo'Rai Cho, or on the way to Beetle Lair.
Sindel/Jade - Jade could have accomplished the death of Tanya before she joined Sindel in Sindel's quest to find out more about the Dragon King.
Raiden - His ending could happen easily, only it could be done with the clause that Raiden simply confronts Shujinko and kills him, hence not requiring the clause that Shujinko led the warriors to Onaga.
Hotaru - Like with Noob Saibot's ending, I don't think this will happen, and it leaves Sub-Zero out of most of the other endings that would otherwise make a lot of sense. This also kills off Kenshi, and we don't need that. :)
Dairou - His ending can't tie in with much of anything else, but it could happen, and it would leave the player guessing as to who actually hired Dairou. This ending makes Kenshi's meaningless, as well.
Scorpion - His ending can't really tie in with anything at all. I don't think it will hold true at all for a sequel.
Nightwolf - His ending can't really tie in with anything at all. I don't think it will hold true at all for a sequel.
Tanya - Her ending is just preposterous and simply won't happen. We all know that. :)
And that's all of them. All of the ways the endings could play out into the end of Deception. But just how will Deception end? Who will finish off Onaga? Who will die in the process? And how will this ending make a new sequel? I'll leave that up to all of you. Craft how you think Mortal Kombat: Deception will end.
CHARACTERS ON HIATUS
And hey, maybe while you're at it, write up the storyline to the next Mortal Kombat sequel. Is Shao Kahn back? How about Quan Chi? Or maybe Onaga isn't dead? Or maybe Raiden or Sub-Zero goes crazy? Or even perhaps, Noob Saibot succeeds in building assassins. What do you think will happen to the characters of Deception? But before you decide to govern that, maybe you should think of some other Mortal Kombat characters that are currently on hiatus:
Shang Tsung - We know he was killed in Raiden's blast, but could it be possible that he was the one who took over Liu's body? And if Liu's ending holds true, do they now share the same body?
Quan Chi - Was he killed in Raiden's suicide blast, or is he still wandering free? If so, what will he do? What is his next move? Will he formulate his own plan of destruction, or will he forge another Deadly Alliance? Was he responsible for the desecration of Liu Kang's corpse?
Cyrax - We know he was sent back to Earthrealm after assisting Nitara. But where is his presence in Deception? What happened to him? Maybe, on the rare chance, was he even sent to Earthrealm like promised, or did Nitara send him elsewhere, whether by accident or on purpose?
Sektor - We know he fled to Japan after his loss to Sub-Zero, but can he really accomplish his plans to create a cyborg army? If so, what will he do with it? Could another meeting with Cyrax be in his future?
Nitara - After smashing the orb that bound her realm to Outworld, she woke up in her native realm. Is the last we'll ever see of the vampiress? Or does she have a secret vendetta that involves a takeover of Edenia or the Earthrealm?
Drahmin & Moloch - What ever happened to these two Oni after their victory over Scorpion? Are they still in confinement alongside Onaga? Are they dead? Were they sent back to the Netherealm?
Sareena - The demon of the Netherrealm, responsible for the releasing of Noob Saibot. Did she truly come into contact with Sub-Zero, harboring her at Lin Kuei headquarters? If so, what is she planning? If not, where is she, and what are her intentions?
Reptile - Whatever happens to the Dragon King, will it affect the life of Reptile? Will he make a return? And if so, what will he do with his life?
Smoke - What if Ashrah's ending holds true, and there is still good left in Smoke? Can he truly not exist in the Netherrealm? With Noob dead, what is he going to do? Or what if Noob doesn't die, can he help his robotic pawn, or just destroy him? What about the younger Sub-Zero?
Mavado - Believed to have been killed by Kabal. But like their first fight, could Kabal have been negligent and not finished him off? Will he return to the Red Dragon and enact revenge?
Kano - Is Kano really dead, or was he able to get around it once again? If he's alive, he'll want to get his revenge on Mavado. But what will he think of Kabal and the new Black Dragon?
Stryker - Where did he end up after the Earthrealm invasion? Did he perish during the invasion, or is simply living a normal life again? Will he join his former allies in battle if called upon?
Rain - Whatever happened to him? Did he truly go on his suicide mission, and fail, dying my Shao Kahn's hand? If not, where is he, and where does his alligence lie?
Fujin - The God of Wind is likely not dead. But what is he doing, and can he assist Earthrealm again?
Kai - He was last seen fighting for Earthrealm during the Invasion of Shinnok. Whatever happened to this warrior of the White Lotus Society? And did Raiden truly hand over his lightning staff?
Shinnok - None know who defeated the fallen Elder God, or if he is even dead. Is still out there? Or if he's dead, who killed him?
Reiko - He was last seen as a general working under Shinnok during the fallen God's invasion. Whatever happened to him? Is he dead, or is he still out there? Could he still be working under Shinnok, the two of them planning their next move?
Kintaro - Just where the hell is he? He was last seen as Goro's successor under Shao Kahn's rule, but after the Earthrealm Invasion, he simply disappeared. Where is he, and where does his alligence lie?
Khameleon - Where is this girl, the last possible link to the extinct Raptors, along with Reptile? She was last seen fighting on the side of Earth, but disappeared, never getting her chance to speak to Reptile. Is she still out there, or is Reptile truly the last of his race?
Chameleon - Who was this mysterious warrior, what was his purpose, and where is he now? Is he a Raptor like Reptile and Khameleon?
Blaze - What was with this mysterious warrior, and is it possible that he'll make another impact?
THE END
And that's the end of this post. If I left out any character above, I either forgot about them, or they're dead. (Sorry. :D)

(Sorry. :D)

What's up, I'm brand new here and I'm feeling this topic so I'll run with it. I think that it would be awesome for ANY of the endings (cept tanya) to be true just add in the Havik portion. Example: After say Sindel destroys the Dragon King Havik steals the heart ressurects Shao Kahn (my fave boss) and all hell breaks loose. Here's how it should go:
STORY
After deception and Havik makes it back to outworld he goes in and revives Kahn. Maybe by having to replace Kahn's heart with Onaga. But when Kahn is revived he now has the power to ressurect. And his first act of business is to revive the broken body of his favorite bodyguard Reptile (in his original ninja outfit) He then revives Shang Tsung and is enraged by his treason, but for punishment keeps him alive as his slave. With Earthrealm and Outworld in somewhat of chaos after Deception Kahn goes undetected as he builds an army out of the never ending amount of the souls trapped in the netherrealm. He uses Tsung's ability to harness souls and brings them back to Outworld. By now Raiden has gotten a whiff of this plan and brings his fighters together. One last time......
I have to go to work so I will list the characters story for Mortal Kombat 7 but to get an idea it will basically be another trilogy list. with some subtractions here or there.

Very good ending review!
I think that Havik first "resurrect" the Liu Kang's body, creating chaos in the Earthrealm, and after, Havik resurrected completely Liu Kang with the Onaga's Heart. We can see Havik with his alt.outfit in the Liu Kang's Ending with the DK's Heart. And according to MKDA Cage's Konquest, Johnny Cage never dies in MK3, this ocurred only in his movies, and for this, Raiden never resurrected anybody.

Very interesting. You don't seem to mention Shang Tsung in there anywhere. Kang's fatality(ripping the soul from the loser before blasting him with flame) makes me think that he was reanimated by the soul of Shang Tsung. Nothing is mentioned as to what happened to Shang after the three of them died/discorporated. And as for Liu Kang's dead and reanimated body still retaining its skills without Liu Kang's spirit being in it anymore, Shang can imitate anyone, so it makes sense that if his soul were occupying Kang's body he would be able to use Kang's abilities.
Anyway, I think Raiden will be the villian in a future(if not the next) Mortal Kombat. And if Shang's spirit was in Kang's body when Raiden fused them back together... well whatever. Enough speculation. Thanks for the post. Great read.

My take:
In the final battle of the Dragon King, Ermac frees the allies with the help of Liu Kang and they do Mortal Kombat. The allies fought well but they were no match for Onaga or Li Mei, who had betrayed them. In the end, only Shujinko with the combined might of his fellow allies, is able to defeat Onaga, the Dragon King. However, before he could stop Onaga's process of infusing the Kamidogu together, Raiden attacked him. Shujinko fought well but was no match for a Thunder God. As other warriors regained consciousness, they didn't know what do to, but just stare at the magnificent fight. Their break didn't last for long however, as Kabal and his Black Dragon followers carried out their plan to destroy the heros.
During the ensuring battle, Havik came into the area. Unnoticed by both fighters, he questioned why the alliance would leave something as valuable as the Dragon King's corpse behind. Using his powers of sorcerery and chaos, he retrieved for himself the heart of the Dragon King, the source of Onaga's power of resurrection. He then returned to the former palace of Shao Kahn, resurrecting the former Emperor with his new power. Havik's eternal plan of Chaos had only begun.
Meanwhile, Raiden had managed to kill Shujinko, but as his body fell, he muttered some incomprehensable words, pointing at the Kamidogu. When Raiden looked at the tools of the realms, he was shocked to see Onaga staring right back at him with Li Mei at his side cuddling him. Onaga told Raiden how Li Mei retreived the Kamidogu during the fight and had used it to ressurect himself. Impressed by Shujinko's defeat, Onaga made an offer to the Thunder God: Join his side or be destroyed. However, out of the corner of his eye, Raiden thought he saw two Liu Kang's on the floor above him fighting to the death, one physical one spiritual, nether besting the other. Making a final comment, Raiden used his lightning powers to Soul Infuse him. Realising what Raiden was doing, Queen Li Mei, enhanced with her new powers from Onaga, easily defeated Raiden. Just before destroying his life forever, Liu Kang suddenly came down from above with a bicycle kick attack, and distracted Li Mei long enough for Raiden to regain his strength fight alongside Liu Kang. Suddenly, there came a brilliant flash of light: The Kamidogu had merged. Onaga laughed a horrible laugh, and he seemed to transform into something else, something darker than before. Raiden motioned for Liu Kang to leave, and they both ran out of the palace, with a gigantic explosion of darkness behind them.
As the very fabric of the realms are now threatened by the being that once was...Kung Lao felt it during his meditations. His concentration was being blocked by the most powerful darkness he had ever encountered. After exacting revenge for Liu Kang's death, Kung Lao had tried to return to his peaceful life within the White Lotus society. During the return of the Dragon King, he had managed to keep at peace with himself, teaching the many students who enrolled every year. However, this darkness...it nerved his soul. Kung swore that he had felt this before, but could not remember when. His mind clouded, Kung Lao left the society grounds one night, on a mission to his ancestor's (Kung Lao's) grave. There, Kung Lao knew that he would find a family heirloom, lost within the ages, that was said to destroy any evil.
I can go on and on, but if any of this becomes reality, that would be awesome.

Assuming she survives, I think we may soon see Mileena turn neutral whether her ending happens or not.
In her ending she takes control of the Outworld/Edenia army for herself...not Onaga. And she apparently stabbed Baraka in the back to do it. This could put her in trouble with both of them.
Also, if she does take Edenia by impersonating Kitana, she won't be able to keep that up. Not only is Kitana, Sindel, and Jade still alive, but sooner or later someones going to realize Mileena's not Kitana.
I think what will happen is Mileena will attempt to take Edenia for herself making her an enemy of Baraka and Onaga, but the Edenian army will catch on that it's not really Kitana when she, Jade, or Sindel return leaving Mileena to go rogue.
I think Kitana will break free from Onaga's control, but it won't come without a terrible price. I don't think it'll be as easy as Sindel or Ermac's endings suggest.
Maybe not even just Kitana. Maybe the others too.
Quan Chi will return. I'm betting he teleported out of Raiden's blast at the last second and he's just recovering and planning his next move.
I think it'll come down to either Scorpion or Sub-Zero to take down the Dragon King. Scorpion's become the Elder God's Champion and Sub-Zero's power is constantly growing with the Medallion and now his armor.
Where did it say she released him? Noob wasn't released from anywhere.
Anyway, I suspect Sareena is still hiding out in the Lin Kuei headquarters. All we know for certain about her is that she hated the Netherealm and desperatly wanted to escape.
I think she's going to get involved with the Noob Saibot/Sub-Zero situation. It was hinted in Mythologies she liked the original Sub-Zero, but now that he's Noob Saibot who knows where her loyalty will end up.
I'm betting she's going to get involved with Ashrah. I think at first Ashrah will try to kill her but they may end up teaming up against Quan Chi or Noob Saibot.

Hehe. Well, I actually wrote this all up in about 20 minutes to half an hour earlier, then posted it. I may add more, like my own take on the ending and future storylines.

Going by the game storylines, Johnny Cage is killed in the Earthrealm Invasion by the squads, which is why he wasn't in MK3. Though they later updated the game to UMK3, where they say his soul was blocked from passage by the merger of realms, so he comes back down to Earth to keep fighting. Once the merger is resolved, he ascends back into the heavens. Then in MK4, he's resurrected. I don't see why his DA Konquest contradicts this, unless you say he never ascends after the merger stops, which makes no sense at all.

Well I don't mention Shang Tsung because he's pretty much dead. He was wiped out by the ethereal blast, and all his souls left him. However, you bring up a VERY good point. I had never thought about Shang Tsung's soul controlling Liu Kang's body, and come to think of it, that makes a LOT of sense. And hell, what if Liu Kang's ending is true? Liu Kang is back in his body, but he's sharing it with the soul of Shang Tsung!

I quote her ending from MKTE:
While in Outworld, The demon known as Sareena encountered Sub-Zero. Since she had freed his brother from the confines of the Netherrealm so many years ago, Sub-Zero offered her asylum within the Lin Kuei. His compassion may be honorable, but befriending a demon of the Netherrealm is not an action without risk... as Sub-Zero may soon discover.

I believe they were referring to when she helped Sub-Zero against Quan Chi in Mythologies.
There's no other time for Sareena to free Noob Saibot. After Mythologies, Sareena was banished to the 5th Plane and was trapped there until MK:TE.
After MK1 Sub-Zero was turned into Noob Saibot. In MK2 he was in Outworld as Noob. MK3 he was on Earth. MK4 he was in Edenia. MK:TE he was in Outworld again.
Unless Sareena helped Sub-Zero turn into Noob Saibot, which I doubt because she hated the Brotherhood, there's no other time for them to meet, let alone have her free him from anywhere.

Ashrah:
After defeating Noob Saibot, I was finally free to ascend to Edenia, where I begun my service in the Edenian Freedom Fighters. However, I've had to take leave of my post; two demons stalk me, who can jeopardize the safety of Edenia. I am being stalked by my sisters, Jataaka and Kia.
Noob Saibot:
Upon my return to the Netherealm I was confronted by my brother Sub-Zero. As my first act as custodian of that realm, I planned to annihilate my brother. I was about to finish him off, when the Demon slayer Ashrah interrupted, defeating me. Being a wraith, I was born a new and sent two of my assassins, Kia, and Jataaka after Ashrah.

I was once a riot cop in Earthrealm. As I neared middle age, I grew weary of my authority being undermined by miscreants. I sought out a harsher form of justice than the government would allow me to deliver.
Liu Kang once told me stories of the realm of Seido, a realm of pure order. I went to Seido, and trained under Captain Hotaru, becoming a Seidan Guardsman. When word of Hotarus slaying surfaced, I vowed to bring the killer to justice; he will know Order.
Blaze:
Thousands of years ago, I was given a task by an enemy of Onaga; deliver a message to the King of the Cryogenomancers, telling him that he is to become the new King of Outworld. However, I was ambushed and enslaved for millennia. Recently, rumors have surfaced that a descendant of this great would be king still lives. I must complete this task before I may finally rest.
Sub-Zero:
I am a man both blessed and cursed. I was fortunate to be saved from death by the demon hunter Ashrah. Unfortunately, the demon she fought was the new ruler of the Netherealm, the merciless Noob Saibot; my older brother.
When I resurfaced I found myself in the care of my most trustworthy ally, the swordsman Kenshi. Together we will move in on the Dragon King, and perhaps, with the power of the Kamidogu, be able to bring my brother back from Wraithdom.
Mokap:
Hey, bub. I was just looking for a way out of the Chaos realm, when I was approached by a ninja of some type. He said Im to participate in some sort of war of the realms. Im kind of scared, and want to go back to Chicago, but I dont want to upset the elder Gods, whoever they are.

I think maybe Sareena and Ashrah may have some altercation with eachother in the future. I just have the weirdest feeling that Sareena is the sister that Quan-Chi sent after Ashrah years ago.
I wonder if Sareena knows Noob Saibot is the Sub-Zero she saved long ago. I wonder if she does know what would happen? I wonder how anyone related to the original Sub-Zero (NOOB SAIBOT) would think? I wonder if he would try to go after Scorpion even though Scorpion is over it already.
In my opinion, no story has ever become more interesting than the people in the "People Whose Lives Are Fucked Up Because of Quan-Chi" circle. lol There are just so many possibilites for it all now. Quan-Chi CAN'T be dead. There are just so many links and possibilites, especially now with Noob "original Sub-Zero" Saibot trying to take over the Netherealm. Something is going to happen, I guarantee.
What I also want to know is why Scorpion would just choose to work for the Elder Gods, or why he would agree to let them make him their servant. They never explain why. They just say, "They made him their champion." I want to know WHY, though I predict that maybe they reunited him with his wife and son. That maybe now his storyline has been resolved.
However, even if it is like that, his story ISN'T resolved. Scorpion beat alot of people's asses over the years. Karma is a bitch, and the fact that he's the Elder God's champion won't stop them from coming at him.

Well she needed Quan Chi's power to stay in human form, so she was either manipulated by him, or served him. Either way, she has some connection to Noob, and as other posters have said, she could easily feud with Ashrah. Seems good.

I do think that noob will go after scorpion if he does find out about the spectre's role in his death. Just cos he enjoys being a wraith does not mean he is going to thank the one who killed him. Do remember that sub-zero 7 would be involved in this somehow. My personal guess is that noob is someone most have heard some dark rumours about but have not met in person. I doubt many people who meet noob survive tot ell the tale. Scorpion would certainly have heard of noob's name, esp since he hails from the netherrealm as well. Imagine this following scenario: Noob and sub-zero are in a scuffle, which at some point in time is likely to happen as the writers cannot just throw a plot bombshell like noob being the original sub-zero without some major ramifications, and scorpion somehow witnesses the fight. remembering his vow to protect sub which he made in Mk2 ( i believe his ending is canon), scorpion enters the fray. He finds out in the course of the battle noob's true identity and vice versa, and for the first time is not the predator but the prey. Throw a character like quan chi who has huge issues with all these characters and you got a humdinger of a story. What is ashrah's role?? Easy. She picks a fight with noob, only to be set upon by noob's lackeys, including her two sisters. This is where sub and sareena enter the fray, when ashrah is having her backside handed to her. Possible???
I do wonder what role subzero will play in future mortal kombats. I did think that the DK's armour could have been the armour sub is wearing, which explains why DK's armour was missing, and that would also explain why sub could have been an indirect descendant of DK, as sub is also related to dragons constantly, esp with that medallion. The prob would be that Frost was stated to be of similar lineage as sub, and this revelation makes it impossible. Also, the Dk cant possibly have his armour look like that. AS in, the DK would not logically want to dress up as a ninja, period. The armour could be said to take the shape and subconcious requirements of its user, but that is still farfetched...

Ashrah and Sareena's relationship should be interesting.
I wonder if they did meet before either one turned against Quan Chi. Because in Ashrah's bio she claims to have killed all the Demons Quan Chi sent after, including her sister, so Sareena couldn't have been one of them. So maybe they never met each other and Ashrah was Sareena's replacement?
Or, like Psychofight suggested, they're sisters. Maybe Ashrah spared Sareena or Sareena let Ashrah go and that was one of the things that led to Sareena betraying Quan Chi?
I think Sub-Zero, and Ashrah will end up teaming together because they share common enemies now in Noob Saibot and Quan Chi. Scorpion will get involved because of Quan Chi, butwhen he finds out who Noob Saibot really is then I think he's going to make this situation his business.
But Sareena will be the wild card. Personally I think she'll end up helping the good guys, in spite of whatever feelings she may have had for the oringal Sub-Zero, because she has no love for Quan Chi or the Brotherhood.
I just had an interesting thought about Frost.
We all know she and Sub-Zero are decendants from the same race and may have even been brother and sister (hinted in Mytholgies.) Therefore she's related to Noob Saibot. But now she's dead.
What if Frost's soul went to the Netherealm when she died? And what if Noob Saibot finds her there?
Pretty big circle. All we're missing now is Reiko, Kia, and Jataaka.

The Konquest isn't the most accurate thing in the MK World...... Noob Saibot served Shao Kahn start off in MK2.....

I just wanna say 2 quick things about 2 endings.
Tanya: Clearly this is not gonna be canon, but wouldn't it be awesome if it was?? But anyway, I highly doubt this will happen, but I think Tanya will be back in MK7 (they're setting up a good rivalry between her and Jade) and I think if she does return, we may find something similar to this actually happened. I wouldn't be surprised if she turned on the Dragon King if she say an opportunity to get herself ahead.
Jade: I guess it could happen, not really important though. I think alot of people ignore the fact that Shujinko says I doubt she could have survived the encounter, which i immediately thought meant she totally survived it and is gonna go after Jade (her sister?) with a nasty vengeance.

after watching ermac's ending, my original theory had to change or be divided into two theories.
1. In Ermac's ending it says something about Onaga still being manipulated, and in Sindel's ending, as well as Reptile's in DA, we're left to assume Reptile is Onaga. Since Reptile has been manipulated in every game he's been in, I'd like to believe that Shao Kahn is the one manipulating "Onaga". I believe Shao Kahn is coming back for MK7.
2. Havik's ending is true, but not Kabal's, nor Kobra for that matter. Havik did end up with Onaga's heart. This will leave him to resurrect anyone he pleases. Since his character seems to exist purely to create comotion and "havok" then he may also have resurrected Shang, Quan Chi, and/or Shinnok as well.
Others:
Dairou: Damashi/Onaga had him kill Hotaru, I mean he had him free Shujinko so it makes sense.
Raiden: Yeah, probably happened.
Darrius: Possible, but with a slight altercation. Hotaru wouldn't be in his way.
Shujinko: As much as he may be the one that defeated Onaga, I don't believe it.
Noob-Smoke- How in the fuck is Noob the old Subbie?
Kira: True, and that means two more Black Dragon members the next time around.
Tanya: Not True, although it would be extremely interesting.
Sindel & Jade: Both True, but that means Kitana has no place in Ermac's ending.
Li Mei: I hope to hell it isn't true.
Bo, Liu, Ashrah, : True
Hotaru, Kenshi: False, if Dairou killed him, Kenshi can't.
Nightwolf: Possible, Onaga is supposedly unable to be defeated, but c'mon, if he got defeated once, then he can again.
Mileena: Half True. I don't think she killed Baraka, but her charade won't last even with Baraka dead.
Subbie: True, he kicked some Tarkata ass.
Baraka: False, I don't think he'll get killed, but his army will.
Scorpion: I want to say he's the one that kills Onaga. He became the Elder God's bitch, and was sent to kill Onaga. He was beefed up for just that as well. So to me it makes sense that He is the one that kills the Onaga, however, I don't think he did it in the Nexus, I think he did it in Onaga's Lair.

If you look closely in the first picture of Hotaru's ending, Hotaru is holding up Kenshi's head to Onaga >_<
I dunno. Personally, my feelings are that some are untrue, some partially, and some fully. Here's my opinions, ending by ending:
Fully True:
Shujinko: Probably true. I think he likely was the one to beat the Dragon King. It only makes sense, MKD seems to be mostly his story, and if you read most of the other character's endings, most of them were distracted by other things and not focused on the real threat. However, I do hold out the possibility that Shujinko and Scorpion faced and defeated Onaga together. But Shujinko almost certainly had something to do with it.
Kira: I think it's likely she beat Kobra and will choose two recruits. And Kobra's ending doesn't contradict in any way. Too bad, I kinda liked Kobra.
Raiden: I also think that Shujinko was killed by Raiden after defeating the Dragon King. Fits the new persona of Raiden.
Sub-Zero: DEFINITELY true. Matter of fact, his ending is actually mentioned in Kenshi's alt bio.
Kenshi: Probably happened. Kenshi's bio mentioned they were being followed. However, it is possible that Hotaru was merely driven off, rather than killed.
Havik: I think this one is possibly true as well. It largely depends on whether or not they decide to include Kahn in the next game.
Ermac: I think it very likely Ermac and Liu Kang freed the captured Earthrealm warriors.
Liu Kang: Almost definitely true. Liu Kang's back. Well, at least we'll no longer have to see his annoying zombie form. I don't believe the Havik theory, however, and think the character that ressurects Liu Kang is most likely Raiden.
Darrius: I think the resistance likely will end up very close to overthrowing Orderrealm.
Partially True:
Kabal: Yeah, they probably helped Havik get to the heart, but I doubt they took the power of resurrection from him.
Kobra: They likely did watch the heroes fight, but unlikely that they slaughtered them.
Ashrah: I doubt Noob is dead, especially with the bomb dropped about being Sub-Zero's brother. However, it is possible Ashrah did slay some demon and was freed.
Noob-Smoke: I think the idea that Noob is the original Sub-Zero is definitely true, however, Noob Smoke did not kill the younger Sub-Zero.
Bo Rai Cho: Likely all true except for the killing Baraka part.
Jade: Likely true. She likely did get herself captured to infiltrate the stronghold and get to Kitana. However, whether she killed Tanya is iffy at best.
Li Mei: Perhaps one of the most interesting outside of Noob-Smoke's, I think Li Mei might very well have turned traitor. I doubt she helped Onaga win, but she likely did stab the heroes in the back somehow.
Untrue:
Tanya: No way. No how.
Hotaru: Like they'd kill Sub-Zero and Kenshi. C'mon now.
Sindel: Interesting, but doubtful. While it may prove true that the essence of Onaga leaves Reptile's body so that means Reptile can return, I still think Shujinko beat the Dragon King. The part about the armor being gone may prove true... is that Subby's armor?
Nightwolf: Again, I think it was Shujinko who did in the dragon king... though this ending may have happened in some alternate form, like Nightwolf assisted by using the sins somehow.
Dairou: So... Who actually kills Hotaru? I'll stick with Kenshi, because he's mentioned in Kenshi bio.
Fully True:
