Extended fight time?? (more life bars) THEROY...

I was thinking that there should b e some more life bars so the matches would last longer. I know I know people are saying "then why don't you just add more rounds". The thing is we should get longer fight time without interruptions of having to go to the next round. Extending the time limit won't help either because you would still be able to finish your opponent just with more time to do it. With more life bars your fighting will be able to extend to further parts of the stage and for a longer period of time.

I like the idea. I always thought about the possibility of making the life bar longer, especially with all the stage hazards around.(not death traps). I think if they made it a little longer it would be great

why don't they leave the lifebars the same, but make an option where u can extend the stamina, like u could do in doa 2, that would be cool

yeah that is a nice idea. like having the opposite of being handicaped in mk:da? more life, and they you should be able to have rounds longer than 90 secs

Ya that is where i got the idea from Libra Budokai how they have 3 stages of the life bar
Blue- extra power (Freeza)
Green- healthy
Yellow- at risk
Red- close to death
And it will extend the time you get to fight without a delay and it will be longer if hits didn't absorb too much damage so it won't be too long but not too short.

That would be sweet, i've thought about having more life before and I for one think its a really good idea. Soul Calibur 2 has the option of making life bars shorter or longer I don't see why MK can't.

I really really like this idea for online play and for when I feel the need to explore, but I think it would be a bad idea when I get to the point where I want to beat the game over and over repeatedly.
I don't know about you, but I didn't wanna cheat to unlock all my koffins in DA. I'll admit, I did break down and use the cheat for Platinum, Gold, and Onyx, but for the Colored Koins I did it the old fashioned way. I've probably killed Quan Chi and Shang Tsung with Nitara about 100 times by now, and lemmie tell ya, by the end, I just wanted it to happen as quickly as friggin' possible. I turned the rounds as low as possible, and the round time to 20 secs, just so I could finish faster.
SO, MY POINT, finally, haha, it Sounds fun for some things, but not for others, so I do think it's a good idea, just so long as it's able to be turned off.

See that is the thing adding rounds doesn't change a thing all it is is an interruption in Kombat.

2x health wouldn't be that bad of an idea, but then you think there'd be a round 2 (and a round 3) after that? Or would you just fight a long round and finish the person after they die in that same round? I mean, I'm really used to the whole "ROUND 1...FIGHT!" shit that we've had since the beginning of MK, and it'll just seem really strange if there were no real rounds and we had more health =/

I think that we should have either 2x health option or have regenerating health...but the second option may lead to turtling...maybe for every move you land on the opponent you get like 1/5 of the life you took.

How about simply having an option that reduces or amplifies the amount of damage done by attacks? I mean, that's basically the same thing as increasing/decreasing life.
OR, you could use BOTH to enable severely handicapped matches for people like me, who run out of friends to play VERY fast, as nobody I know can hold a candle to me in a game.
If MKD weren't online, I wouldn't even buy it because in two days, I'd be out of opponents. Seriously.
This way, I could turn my health down, my buddy's up, and my damage down, his up. That would make things interesting.

Yeah i think a more sensible option would be to just decrease the amount of damage done by attacks. MK:DA's damage wasn't to bad to me (excluding powered up attacks), but then again, it didn't have CH's, so everything was super consistant.
I guess a health handicap option is basically what you're after. I see no point in making the lifebars longer or removing rounds, though.
