I was playing MKDA and i noticed for a long time now that when Li Mei kicks right through the opponents stomach there is no sign that her foot when through her opponents body. Same thing with the kano fatality there are no scars/wounds/holes in the body that prove that he took out several organs. I think that this is a problem that should be fixed because it looks really stupid. What do you think?

I knew it the first time I played mk;da but I wasn't mad because the fatalities were longer than the previous games and I like that.I bet they fix it for deception.

Geez, I've been a member since MKDA was just a pic of Scorpion and Jax looking at each other and I have less than 2,000 visits. I should really log in more...

Yeah I noticed that also. It reminded me of this wrestling game I played before where I had the two wrestlers a little too close to each other and they were kind of overlapping each other. It looked like one guy thrusted his head into the other guy's chest.

Yeah, those things definately bother me, but I don't get too angry about it. I wouldn't mind if they didn't, but if they managed to fix that in MK: D, that would be great.

I think the reason why Midway did not include holes in the opponent in li mei's and kano's fatality because they would have been terrorized by protesters, politcians, mothers, and people who have nothing better to do than complain about how violent videogames are and how they "brainwash" kids into committing violent acts.

I think it has to do with skinning issues. Not necessarily everyone is the same body structure, but they are in the same parameter. This can fixed rather easily, though.

They definately need more detail. Shit, the game "War Gods" had more detail during fatalities.

Not only should there be more detail in the fatalities themselves but (hope this isn't too OT)I'd also like to see non-fixed camera angles. Make the camera rotate in full 3D, pan forward and back, and randomize it each time. I got so sick of seeing fatalities from the same angle every time in MKDA. Those are details, right?

thats not truew. MK has thrived on controversy and there have been MUCH MUCH worse games out there then DA (manhunt) and that game got away with its violence

Serioulsy though, you do have a point. I think it is the fatalities that make Mortal Kombat the amazing game that it is and they should put a little bit more "uumph" in making them.

well u have to undertand, polygonal deformation (mutilating bodies and such) is really hard to do in 3D. it was much easier when the game was just sprites. even manhunt' doesnt have super super detail altho the detail it does have (intestines comes out, heads shattering into nice chunks that splatter o nthe wall and then fall off piece by piece) r well done. its just really hard to program that level of detail on polygonal characters

the most violent games of all tiem tho (such as weaponlord and the grand daddy of super violent games- eternal champions and its sequal on sega cd ET: challenge from the dark side) all had street fighter-esque which allowed for more detailed kills. like they were GRUESOME almost like watching an anime movie (and if u have seen a violent anime u know what i'm talking about, go look for a movie called FIST OF THE NORTH STAR if u wanna see mortal kombat level violence done to the extreems in like a kung fu anime movie)
