Nothing's been released about it but I hope they use a mix of the two.

Ex:Fmv of Mileena's fight with Tanya over the Edenian throne and Mileena wins killing Tanya.
Text part would tell of the events that happened with Mileena after the fight.

A full FMV would be awesome mainly because you could see the whole ending play out raher then imagining it from one or two pictures.

Imagines Scorpion's ending in MK:DA if it was full FMV! Watching the battle and then him getting tossed in the soulnado.

I can see it basically being FMV, then itbeing sort of a text summary summing it up. SO we won't likely be as confused as we were when we saw Reiko get the helmet on his head, enter MK:Gold

I've got to be honest with you all. The only Mortal Kombat game that had "FMV" endings didn't. They were just in-game models acting out scenes. Of course, in the PSX and Dreamcast versions they were rendered on much more powerful machines and recorded, but they were still just spruced up in-game models.

And they sucked. MK4 had some of the worst endings in the history of Mortal Kombat, due to the shoddy faux-FMV and the ridiculous voice acting. When MKDA had text based endings again, I was so glad. Text endings have been a part of MK since the beginning. They tell you the whole story, not just a scene where one character ends up exploding or being mistaken for Shao Kahn.

Futhermore, FMVs are expensive as hell and difficult to produce. There's 24 characters that are guaranteed to have endings, that's asking a hell of a lot from Midway. Besides, we've already heard from the development team that right now the FMV team is still working on the *opening* FMV. That suggests to me that the chance of there being FMV endings in MK:D is remote at best.

And that, to me, is a good thing.

I agree with you. I loved the text endings being accompanied by the pictures. I know it costs heaps to make, but I really think MKD should have at least a few videos in there, even if they aren't endings. Maybe a fight between Sub-Zero and Scorpion from MK1, or Shao Kahn battling the Deadly Alliance. Or maybe even just Reptile screaming and twisting into the Dragon King? Basically, I would be happy for the MKDA style endings, or maybe a picture show that goes along showing action scenes with a voice telling us what's happening.

well then they should do what they did for MK4. use the in-game graphics. it beats the hell out of reading. and the only thing i liked about MK4 were teh endings, no matter how bad the voice acting is, at least there's acting.

that was not a FVM ending, I don't like screentext.
that is kind of boring,but a FVM ending is too cool!!!!!!! you don't need to imagine what there has to happen or has happened

it would be soo kool if they were all in FMV and i think they will cos now the characters have voices unlike MK:DA when they didn't.

anyway...i was with the fmv crowd for a while for some reason...it's probubly tekken that started that for me...but like mk4, most of tekken's endings are shallow and leaves you in a state of WTF just happend...now i'm very much a fan of the rendered pictures and the story being told in text....it covers a lot more of the story and leaves you with a sence of closure instead of wondering what in the hell you just saw...i mean damn...imagine if reiko's ending from mk4 was pics and text...there wouldn't be anywhere near the amount of controversy about that charictor that there is now

That's what I'm thinking for the most part. The voice acting in MK4 was THE WORST (except MAAAAYBE Tenchu: Stealth Assasins) and I don't want to see the same thing plague MKD with a bunch of crappy voice actors........ Did anyone else notice that Sub Zero from MK4 sounded a lot like Arnold Schwarzenegger? I guess not a lot but the resemblence is totally there. "YOUR QUEST FOR VENGEANCE IS OVER SCORPION" hahahaha...

I agree I would love to have FMV endings but at this point in time I think it would delay the game so im content with text and pictures but what if they had the characters talk instead of Raiden like in DA like its there story let them tell it. Just a thought to seperate MKDA from MKD even if its a small detail like that.

I would like in game graphics... because in fmvs they ussually end up being too much in too little time... and sometimes it's just unclear...

I would like the endings to look kind of like GTA ones... not as cool to look at but it's better for the story

yeah, GTA ending are good just alittle short... but they work!
