noob saibot/smoke has potential. improving rains power to control people will make him a very good evil charcter. ermac.....kenshi....i prefer kenshi, he has better moves and ISNT a pallette swap.

i agree. a lot of characters could be brought back, but doubtful they will be, as so much story might be hard to handle. but one day maybye...

although i never liked stryker, spoilt the feeling for me, its just my opinion..

The only one of those characters that needs to return is Rain. He was soooo cool in Trilogy, he would make an excellent character. Noob needs to be retired...his only "finished" character was in Trilogy, but he was in MK2/3/4. Plus there is no more Saibot...Maybe it should be Oisivid Anisep now LOL

lets see, smoke, ermac and rain, they were ok, but they are no longer needed in the realm of mortal kombat, noob saibot, im not saying this because he is my absolute favorite, but he has potental since his ending in mk:te happened, meaning he has a possibility of being in mk6

It is important that if it says that if they to come back as in Mortal Kombat Trilogy, will be depressing and pure lack of brain and imagination.
Noob: it leaves as he is, is a shade...
Smoke: With a different uniform and blows, will be as as a Scorpion;
Rain and Ermac: they do not have to be ninjas: the first one can according to be any thing and the master of Kenshi.

What kinda pisses me off is how people for some reason automatically assume just because Tobias is no longer part of the MK development team then his name cant be used (not even in reverse). Seriously where do ppl get this from, its not like Tobias put some kind of trademark on his name that prevents others from using it. The fact is Tobias was the co-creator of and Noob Saibot is and will always reflect that. Besides in MKTE Noob kept the Saibot part of his name. Anyways sorry for that, now onto the original subject, I could care less about Rain, Noob Saibot and Smoke is a definate yes though, I would like for Smoke to return as a cyborg tho, and Noob Saibot, well I guess as a shadow.

Ermac is dead. It has been written into the plot that he was killed. He isn't significant enough to be brought back. Rain is an interesting character. I remember his ending involving finding his family in that place that begins with an E. He was related to Kitana or Tanya, something to that extent I believe. I think he was just one of Kahn's casualties. I mean as a fighter, he was a bit of a mix up. I mean if we want lightning powers, we have Raiden. I just don't see any real point in bringing him back as just another pallete swap.

Smoke could be brought back in an interesting fashion. The Lin Kuei are good now. Subzero would have a great ally against his foes. I just hope that his moves wouldn't just be Gray scorpion. I never understood that.

Noob Saibot can be brought back, as I have said many times, in a very cool way. He is a rogue. His boss is dead and he has nothing to do but kick ass and chew bubble gum, and I don't think he really likes gum.

Leave Stryker, Kabal, Baraka, Liu Kang, and Sektor all dead. Stryker was a pudgy bitch with a machine gun, so I never understood his appeal. People with story written deaths should stay dead unless their story was designed for resurrection (Liu Kang might be one of those).

i dont know why people still think that if any ninja would return it would just be a pallette swap.

Scorpion and Sub-Zero have been pallette swapping for a long time. Untill Mortal Kombat4 and in MKDA they don't look alike.

I say bring all the ninja's back, make them look different but not all that different. I think midway as a great creative team, and if they want to put in more ninja's they'll think of something cool.

It used to be that more caracters took up more space on a cartridge or cd so that's why they did al pallette swap, to have more caracters and to save space. But i don't think that would be a problem anymore.

So i would like to see Smoke, Rain, Ermac and the rest

Why does everyone think that John Tobias was the co-creator of MK? John Tobias was the CREATOR of MK, Ed Bood was the co-creator. Hell, it even says it in the "History of MK" video on MK:DA.

They can come back as long as they are original and not ninjas. There was no point in them being ninjas because they had nothing to do with the Lin Kuei. I hated the fact that the poeple at midway were too lazy to develop new charactes, so they just palette swapped some ninjas.

Here's the problem, there is no real plot advancement keeping old 2 dimensional (and I mean that on multiple levels) pallete swaps around. There is nothing gained by magically bringing back Ermac; what the hell is he going to do alive?

Rain is connected to a discontinued plotline, so I see no need to magically bring him back.

Sektor was killed by Subzero. Bringing him back only complicates the new plotline involving the Lin Kuei and the Red Dragon.

Jarek was just imitation Kano/Jax or Sonya's biotch. No need to bring him back.

Reiko would kinda be lost without Shao Kahn playing a role. If Reiko came back with Kahn, maybe there would be some room for a plot. I think he should probably just stay dead, and they should bring back Kahn.
