i didnt like having those force shield's in MKDA it takes alot away from the arena.i thought it would be cool if they got rid of the shields and just let you fight anywhere you want.for example, you kick your opponet against the gate, the gate opens.leading you to a door to a factory.you see what im getting at.

I like that idea... Kinda like Tekken 4... Multi-stage arena's.
Sounds like a good idea, I didn't really like the force shields either. For arenas that have walls, why not let us hit the oppenents against that wall instead of the wall being surrounded by a shield. And some stages could have multi-levels, it seems like a pretty cool idea.
But I have a question, what about stages that are surrounded by water or lava? They would have to have some sort of 'barrier' to keep the fighters from falling in. Same goes with rooftop like arenas, there must be some sort of force to keep them from flying of the screen.

I say remove the barriers completely. If there's an arena that has lava ie lava shrine then just do ringouts, it'll add depth to the game and make it more challenging in my opinion. As for levels on roofs just have them knocked down onto a lower level. I can see scorpion and subzero battling there way up the staircase in Shangs palace, then when they finally hit the landing, subzero does a dragon claw to scorpion sending him careening down onto the main level again, with a short animation of subzero jumping down after him. It's been done in a load of games before so why not this one.

Personally, I liked the barriers. One of the worst things that can happen to you in a fighting game is get caught in the corner. The barriers at least give you a chance of escape and possibly trapping your opponent.
Just me though, I don't think it would bother me much if they aren't in 6.
Multi-area stages (or whatever you wanna call them) would be cool, but even just to go out of the main fighting area. For example Quan Chi's Mk:Da arena, to be able to go up the ramps (with the barriers on the sides) onto the other levels.

i agree. they should remove them completly. and if they get knocked into lava, acid, etc...it would greatly hurt them (or possibly and istant fatality) or it could work like an impale and their health could keep dropping as a result of being burned, and would continue to drop as long as they stood in it. (like in mkm when you had to run across the hot floor so you wouldnt loose health)
and the roff ting could simply be an early way to end a fight. i always wanted to kill someone before it said "finish him/her"....and if it didnt kill them, it had better take a good chunck of energy off depending on the highth of the fall.

It would be great if they included all of that kind of stuff in MK6... Expecially the ringout thing on Lava arena's... Need to just sidestep in circles and stay toward the center of the arena and avoid getting knocked into the lava, at the same time, your trying to knock your opponent into the lava. I also love the thing about fighting anywhere possible in an arena, up staircases in Shang Tsung's Palace, having short animated scenes where they show the opponent, or you, jump down after the guy when you knock him down there, etc...

Maybe some stages could have an extremely extensive design, like the Palace Grounds, and if you fall off you would land in some Outworld wasteland. Or in Quan Chi's Fortress you could explore the lower levels, or even go into the Inner Sanctum...well, not literally IN it, but toward it, and knock the opponent in for a fatality. With stages like the Lava Shrine and Acid Bath, knock the opponent in and they lose a shitload of health, but limit the areas where that's possible a bit...have SOME barriers.

oh yeah, remember in mk1 the movie liu kang kicked reptile through that wall that would be a great feature.Ed Boon said it was going to be in MKDA but i guess it didnt make it in MKDA.by the way cool sig sub-saibot.

It would be awesome if you could push your enemy of a cliff and then it shows a short film of the oponent falling into a spike or something. If he was to land on water a shark could pop up and bite him in half right before he lands.

almost like DOA 3 when people fall off of buildings and cliffs.but it would be great if MK6 has the option to let you runn around to diffrent location's like bushido blade 1 and 2.

I would not be a bit surprised to see multi-section levels in MK6. Infact, I'd put money on it.

Well considering it was intended for MK:DA they'd damn well put it in this time round, I was a little dissapointed by the lack of multi tiered levels, btw, in order for it not to be a quick ring out for lava levels they could always add some form of natural barriers not some invisible forcefield. ie statues, rocks, boulders, walls ya know just so that you don't see them hit some form of barrier that doesn't really exist.

something like that but instead it will be a fatality, a bloody fatality.

What also sucked is that each character only had one fatality and they didn ́t put animality and stuff like that. I hope mk6 will have that and at least each character should have two fatalities, at least!!!!!

multiple fatalities are pretty much a givin since all of the complaining that boon and the team had to hear when it was revealed about the single fatalities but animalities and the like are iffy.

Wow all you have great ideas..maybe you should start making the games lol.

Well I would like to see the barriers taken off but I would also like some interaction with the kombat zones such as picking up different weapons or things to throw. What about something like shooting a fireball at your opponent, but it misses and hits a wall and you see the wall having damage?
