Frozen Catacombs

I know its been mentioned in another tread, but when you unlock the PA Frozen Catacombs in the krypt, it says that its a cave where Subzero's ancestors were buried. It also says "I dont want to say too much, but you might fight there in a near future". So this might be a new arena you can unlock. Related to that is the ice cave in outworld wich is blocked by a barrier, but you can see the other side, so maybe at some point it opens and you can have access to a chess or something. I was just wondering if somebody completed all missions in conquest that could be related to Subzero or the Lin kuei as it may be a way to gain access to the cave or just the frozen catacombs as it is tied to Subzero.
The catacombs could be a Super Unlockable. DId Boon specified that the Super Unlockables would be only characters or that it could include other stuff like additional arenas?

That's probably the most plausible "super unlockable" theory I've heard yet.

I will second that. It's about freaking time someone actually used their brains in stead of listening to Gamestop website and came up with a legitamite idea. This is very possible. I am going through each and every realm as we speak and have 2 done already with every mission and fights. The only down side is I do not know how to get back to the beginning to finish the missions. I still think there is a portal in Chaos to get back there, hopefully it will open up when I beat everything else.

I definately think theres a way to unlock the frozen catacombs.
1 reason being ive seen pictures of it in gi.
Second the stage fatality for it looked insanely sweet. I dont see why they wouldnt keep it in the game.
Plus like you said, they hint around being able to play there soon.
Seeing as no ones found it yet, it probably has to be something like 1 day a year, for 10 mins, in some odd spot.
I think it said the catacombs were in outworld so thats your best bet..

if you notice in the outworld cave where the barrier .. I thought this too but I ruled it out when I looked up through the hole in that barrier, you can see the sky through some poorly placed polygons. to me that ruled out that anything was beyond it. *shrug*
