From the looks of things, you have to stand on this one spot to activate the Fatality. It either glows green to show you where you have to stand, or to show you that you've done it right. Purely conjecture - there might even be more than one spot, and depending on exactly where you stand they could do a different stage Fatality!

It's related to how you will have to make a Stage Fatality.
I like this system, instead of a button combination for the stage fatality.

That is more than likely where you have to stand. Sorta brings me back to the Eternal Champion dayz of Overkills. But, that game was 2-D. I can't imagine having to get my opponent near a green square in a 3-D arena. That would be difficult to do. Especially if you are playing against an asshole friend. He would do his damndest to stay far away from that area if he is losing. I hope there is till some kind of button combination. That way you could do it ANYWHERE you want. If not, I'm sure I'll get use to this. Have the option to turn the damn square off though! O_o

I think Kringe may be on to something with this idea. If you were able to perform a certain button-combination while your opponent is within that small square, the stage fatal would activate. This sounds like a much more plausible idea than having to "nudge" your defeated character into a certain area and then executing him/her.

i dont believe the idea is to nudge your opponent but rather to step into the area and then preform the button combo. thats the way i see it at least.

how do u know that its not just a pointer in practise to show u where to stand?

The glowing square might not be in the final game. Maybe it was there for the developers as a marker for some reason. Or maybe it's in practice mode. Also, it's hard to say if you can do the stage fatality before you defeat the person cause he already had him in an air juggle. I guess we'll just have to wait and see. Either way, I'm very glad to see stage fatalities back and that they are at least interesting.

Shankdaddy beat me to it...my guess is that it was there for development aid. Or maybe the option to turn 'Stage Fatality Indicator On/Off' will be included in the game. Personally, I'd rather keep it off...I'd love to try and find the stage fatalities myself when the game comes out. I gotta tell ya...after I was so disappointed with MKDA, the fact that i'm so moist over MK:D makes me really happy.
