I have been impressed thus far from the videos at E3 in terms of the gameplay of Deception. It seems to have much of the old school Mk2/3 feel in that special moves seem more important once again, but not THE most important fighting tactic in a match. DA to me at least seemed to be strictly on the new fighting engine with less emphasis on special moves... this is ok with me, but I like the new 50/50 like blend of special moves and regular moves. I am excited to finally see this good mesh of special moves and hand to hand fighting... Also, maybe everyone knows this already, but did anyone else notice that the classic uppercut seems to be back for everyone? I could be wrong or maybe this already is known so sorry if thats the case. Good job Boon!

I'm just going to eco everything you just said.

Everything I wanted to be in this game has happened except, Shao Kahn being playable, and I don't know if I can go into the opions screen and change the death trap to ending the entire match.

But other than thoughs two things, I'm happy.

ya im not so sure about the death trap either.... part of me likes how it doesn't end the match but hte other part makes it very unrealistic.... also to me it seems way to easy to be knocked into the trap... it just seems kinda crappy that one move can end the match. perhaps it would be better if you had to be past a certain level of damage before u could go into one... i dont know... maybe ill end up liking it this way in the end
