Greetings. I have a question concerning MKD, hoping E3 answers it
Hi. First post (hooray).
Since E3 is next week, and some of you fine gentlemen will have access to the actual game, as well as some of the developers, can you ask a question for me if it comes up?
Where is the air game, and has the lack of air game in MKDA been addressed in MKD?
In Deadly Alliance, jumping is pretty much an invitation to get munched with an insane repopup combo or a pretty kick. There aren't really any air specials, and jumpsing overall was cludgey.
I know they are increasing the speed, but part of the reason I loved MK II and III (we won't talk about IV) was the variety, the air special attacks, and air combos. It was great.
Anyway, that's my question.

When I first got ahold of DA back in the day, i too kept pushing diagnal up/right and up/left for jumping reasdons because i was so used to the arcadeish gameplay of MKII and MK3.
However, i think i can safely say that the jumping physics in Deception are not too important to the programmers. Yuo can still most likely perform air jump kicks, but with the introduciton of the three fighting styles inclusing the weapons, i have a feeling mortal kombat is slowly waning out the jumping we saw in the past installments as well as the infamous uppercut and such.
So to answer your question (although i am neither a web master or midway consultant) i dont think the "air" physics are gonna be big in Deception. I got used not using jumping in DA as it was a sure way for an ass beat. Besides, i prefer the more realistic combat we see now with DA.

Take away all of the characters, levels, konquest. As long as uppercuts are back this game can get a 1/10 rating and it would still be the best game ever! UPPERCUTS RULE!!!!

Hell yes to the uppercuts..
Now make the jumping just a little higher..
