Guard in the Netherrealm

How do you get the guy guarding the bridge in the netherrealm to let you pass everytime i go up to him he says none shall pass at this time and then he punches me. Any help would be useful
also does anyone know where Shinnoks amulet is?

I got out of the Netherrealm and when I came back he wasn't there.
and Reiko is in Outworld neither a village, where Li Mei can be found is near there.

When you beat conquest and come bak he is gone just like the 2 monks wont let you in to the white lotus thing until after.
