Well, actually at Fight Night, they only said they had it in their plans. The confirmation and beggining came a while after.

The updated info states that they have some full drawings made for new characters made, and many other drafts, which totals lots of new character designs. Although, only some of those will actually be in the game (it would be cool to see the others in the Krypt though). Also, a Baraka design was drawn, with a mask revealing only the teeth and the eyes, very dark look. It has good chances of making the cut (but don't start jumping up and down just yet). Also, the MK Dev Team stated they wanted to do a Shokan, which doesn't mean it will get in the game, just that they're seeing if they can get a good one in the MKDA engine. Other than that, we have near-confirmed Reptile, and a near-confirmed Dragon King as a Boss (not known now, or anytime soon if playable or not).

Dude MK6 was like confirmed back in Dec 2002, back then it was called the "next mortal kombat" . :.\. Check MKonline fightnight transcipts
