I defeated Blaze with Shao Kahn by using a special move and after that the Kata sequence on the pyramid had shown a darkened arena.

Yes, common glitch, when the background turns black when you defeat Blaze, it can stay that way. Just random, it isn't anything special or secret, just another bug.
