Help getting MK: Armageddon online using PS3

Hi everyone, I've have just borrowed my mate's PS3 and have been trying to get MK: Armageddon (PS2 version) online. When I try to setup an online account to use with the game it says that "An account has already been set up with these details" Has anyone else had this problem, and if so, how do you fix it?

delete those settings and redo your own...was your ps3 pre-owned
