It's incredible!

How are they fitting all these 3D models, voice acting, endings, mini games and fatalities in ONE cd. I never imagined such a feat would be possible.

Easily, they are using a DVD. It's either going to be a DVD5 or DVD9.

CD is blue (at least when it comes to games)
DVD is silver

Most games are made on DVDs.

DVD9 would be great. Think of that awesome 9.4 GB storage space..........

Geez, I've been a member since MKDA was just a pic of Scorpion and Jax looking at each other and I have less than 2,000 visits. I should really log in more...

OK for a second I thought, "Hey, MKDA was on DVD and it didn't have half the stuff MKD will have!" but then I remembered that MKDA wasn't completely finished when it was released do to time. So yeah, I totally see how they could fit it all on there. Just look at the other games currently on DVD's. MKD is gonna totally rule guys.

I have the PS2 version of Deadly Alliance in my DVD drive, and the game took up a total space of 4.36 GB. That's a lot, but look at the amount of space the movies take up:

MK Unseen - 762 MB
Adema Video - 243 MB
History of MK - 554 MB
Intro Movie - 234 MB
Movie of Baraka - 85 MB
Cooking w/ Scorpion - 20 MB

Thats almost 2 GB. There are many more movies that range from 10 - 50 MB, as the whole video folder takes up 2.25 GB. The actual MK game, without the extras, is 454 MB. The sounds folder is 172 MB. Now theres a bunch of useless info for ya, but it also proves that a LOT of stuff can be put in. I'm talking about the higher polygon counts, extra multi-tiered stage models, and of course, more fighters.

ok..this is somewhat pertaining to the topic, but if you have an XBox-Does MK:D have the auto-save feature like most other XBox games? I just got curious about that and since you all are talkin about the storage space and all that, just thought ya'll might be able to answer my question. Thanx

Ah yes I forgot about all the space-eating videos and such, and from the info you gave I now have a clearer view on how much valuable space there would have been without them.

It isn't as much as GTA: San Andreas, which will be the first game to require a dual layer DVD because the amount of content. Still, it is heaps!

agreed, they wasted a lot of space with alot of videos. now that they have includes all that stuff on the bonus disk in the special verison of the game.

They'll find a way of putting it all on the one disc dont worry.
Many other games have got sooo much stuff in them, look at GTA, Final Fantasy etc, they have loads of stuff on the one disc.
