For the first couple of months after the release (in the US), every time someone CLAIMED there was a new secret found - they'd get flamed because they had no proof. Well, I have not seen any proof whatsoever of this stupid version code.

I'm not certain, and I'm not searching for all the threads on it now, but I believe a moderator may have "verified" its existence. And I think the person who first posted about it said they were not allowed to give out the code. Well, you don't have to give out the code to produce a screenshot of it.

I just can't buy something as ridiculous as a version code being so secret that no one can disclose the button combo to get it nor post a screenshot of it. Not to mention that it is a lame secret anyway. Hopefully this is not the secret they were refering to at fight night.

someone did find it out. it was reported before version 6 of this site came out. you have to do some kind of button sequence but I'm not sure if it's on the menu or what.

what the mod said, was that this rumor was reported by a 'very reliable source' and that if they say it, it is most likely true...

but that means nothing,
and i think this is the same type of shit that we were all typing about before christmas, except then it was stage fatals.

and just like then, everyone is waiting for the heavens to open and midway to present us with somthing so heart-stopping that it had to be given down to we mortals from the hand of Boon himself.

well i ain't buyin into it this time around.
i love the game and they already said, in no uncertain terms, that pretty much everything i was hoping might be a secret is NOT in there.

so unless the big 'final secret' has somthing that will effect 2 player gameplay, i really don't care what it is.
