With all that we know about the game (I won't go into details about it, since there are numerous threads about them), do you think that it'll sell well? If so, do you think it'll out-do Deadly Alliance?

I think that out of all the MK's, this one'll make the most money.

I reckon it will go off like a bomb to begin with, but Idont think it will outsell DA. DA was the one the fans waited for for ages after the let down of MK4. I reckon a lot of people will buy MKD but not as many as MKDA.

I'm expecting it to sell like crazy and leave DA in the dust. Why? It's very simple... because it's ONLINE! Online games are the shit. That and the konquest mode, can't go wrong with an adventure mode in a FIGHTING GAME.

It's not going to do that well, and I'll tell you why. First, it's not getting nearly as much hype as Deadly Alliance. Second, those who didn't like DA aren't likely to go out and buy Deception. And finally (and this is the big reason), the season is way too packed with big games, it's just going to get lost in the shuffle. GTA: San Andreas, WWE Smackdown vs. RAW, Def Jam: Fight for NY, Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, Metroid Prime 2: Echoes, Halo 2, Prince of Persia 2, Tony Hawks Underground 2, Burnout 3, Splinter Cell 3, Knights of the Old Republic 2, Paper Mario 2, Goldeneye 2, Pikmin 2, Fable, King Arthur, Suikoden 4, Ratchet and Clank: Up Your Arsenal, and the list goes on and on and on and on. Not to mention big games that were just released like Madden and stuff coming up after the holiday season like Conker 2. It's not that the game isn't going to be well received, it's just got way too much competition. In fact, you're gonna see most of these games have lower than expected sales because they're all gonna take away from each other. The end of 2004 is way too packed and developers are going to pay the price for rushing games out in time for the holiday.

I think the new game will be the best selling fighting game for 2004-2005.
