Goro's brother's name is originally "Durac" from the animated cartoon they put out a long time ago; he's darker than Goro and smaller!

He hasn't been. There's just been alot of rumors by various "insiders" claiming him to be in or that Midway at least considered the idea. Any rumors of a new Shokan are going to get people excited

I don't think any playable character could be compared to Kintaro. Any Shokan that could outdo that massive oaf would be way too powerful to be a non-boss character. All info about "Durac" points to him being a normal playable character, suggesting he will be weaker than Goro or Kintaro.

When/where was THAT confirmed? I thought it was just a rumor. If it's true, cool!

I also hope he uses all four arms to fight, even if it means giving him fictional styles. But I hope they're not both wrestling/grappling styles. A variety of kung fu utilizing four arms would be cool.

That's Goro's father. He was mentioned in Goro's MK1 profile, and was seen in the official MK2 comic book. We don't know if Goro has a brother, or any siblings at all.

I don't really believe that there actually is going to be a new Shokan or any Shokan at all. Why should they invent one? There have already been 3 of them. They would have probably invented a new Centaur, because only one of them exists, Motaro. Besides, IF he's/she's in the game and a selectable player, then the Shokan would be kind of like Sheeva, because imagine something like Kintaro or Goro. It would be to Sub-boss like and Sheeva didn't really seem like a sub-boss did she? Would Sheeva be one of the actual returning characters? If it weren't for the confirmed returning list, one could think so...

Did Kintaro actually appear in any MK ovie? No, right? I sort of thought that that monster, that ate up Jade, and that Jax defeated was Kintaro a long time ago, because I couldn't figure out who it was... ^^

Dorac was the same size as Goro. And instead of having a yellowish tan, He was kelly green.

In the animated movie filler (i can't remember the name of it) The brothers were presenting their father with the same gift, Some kind of giant jewel egg. But they both couldn't give him the same gift, So they fought. Dorac was a vastly superior fighter to Goro and Goro ended up falling off a cliff, But caught himself. He pleeded to Dorac for help, So Dorac did. But then Goro began a merciless assault against Dorac near the ledge when Dorac's guard was down (he thought the fight was over) and he found himself in the same situation his brother was in just seconds ago... But Goro kicked his brother off the ledge!

I'm excited about a Shokan being in MK:D, Even if it could just be a rumor.

The three Shokan that have appeared are all officially dead. And I think a male Shokan, if they make him a little smaller than Goro, could work as a playable character, especially with the way the characters are designed now. Look at Jax; his MKDA character model is a lot bigger than most of the others. Imagine a character with that basic height and shape, but maybe a little less muscle, and four arms (w/o cybernetic implants, of course), and voila! A Shokan like that could probably play on the same level as any other character.

It's just a romor,like 'Butaru the centaur'. No substance to it.

I wouldn't call Kintaro's death "offical". I have yet to find any info backing up his rumored death other than claims by people on this board. Anyone know any actual info on this that's more specific then "I saw it on some instrucion manual I can't remember"? Otherwise I still don't buy it.

Back to subject I too hope they don't just stick a bunch of wrestling stances on the new Shokan and call it a day. There are alot of creative things they could probably do with four arms

first of all i posted this long 15 paragraph things full of spoilers and posted spoiler.

i told bout the possible hidden fighters, all 24 confirmed fighters.

the fighters in the intro 1 and intro 2 that werent playable. and the possible ppl that will make a return in mk7 that werent in MKDA or MK:D, due to fightters endings.

who the mid boss is. and of course the final boss DK.

King Gorbak is Goro's father in the storyline. Durac is Goro's dead but possible arrisen brother. It has been confirmed that Goro's brother is in it whether or not it's a different brother "who knows-besides the MK Team". If Durac is the new shokan which a new shokan has been confirmed at least 2 months ago "before the German article" he most likely will be the new prince of the shokan, since his brother is now dead "who knows he might come back 2 life 2"
and as far as Kintoro ever dying "he's been left out of the story due to time and using different forms of sub-boss type characters" HE NEVER DIED!
