Here's list of confirmed returning characters for MK:D that have died at some point in the MK storyline.

1. Scorpion (He dies in almost every game)

2. Liu Kang

3. Li Mei? (Her soul was enslaved, does that count as being killed and resurrected?)

4. Mileena

5. Baraka? (Once again not sure since I am unfamilar with his storyline but the video of him being killed by Quan Chi convinces me he does qualify)

The following did not get resurrected for this game but in a previous game of the series. However they are making a return in MK:D.

6. Sindel (Did not die in the actual game series but was resurrected in MK3)

7. Sub-Zero? (Not sure if he qualifies since technically the 1st SZ died in MK1, but was replaced by his younger brother with the same name in every game since.)


(There is the possiblity of Raiden dieing in the intro to MK:D and then being resurrected in the same game. We just don't know yet.)
