So, if MKSM got released in September, 2005, as I remember, I guess they were working on MKA for a little more than a year. Usually, it takes at least 1/5 or two years to make an MK, because the quality depends on how long will they prepare the entire game; and the more the game is waited for, the better! I think that is why MKA was done incomplete and plain in many aspects.

Well there is the fact that they didn't put much into the Pracitce mode, and also notable is the fact that the characters only have two fighting styles, except for a few that only have one. I think they just really wanted to hurry that one up, so they could get to making MK8
