i think they will make him look exactly like lui kang for a joke.

i think that he will have a green head band and black and green pants with a different pattern then kang (something like the schick m3t nitro bike from orange county choppers) wearing a black robe or a cape

i think that hornbuckle is most likely lui kangs brother because in the packet that come with the MK1 game it states that lui kang has a brother but his locatiion is stated as unknown

Impossible idea. Onagas holy men most likely dissipated after they implanted him into the dragon egg. besides, Onaga "died" loong before, when Shao Kahn got to power. And thats past 10,000 if you count Kitanas lifetime. So, how in the world would his older brother be a leader of a dead cult? (and Chow Kang is not a shaolin according to the MK comics back-ground if I remember correctly)

I thought Kung Lao was Liu Kangs brother.

They're brothers in terms of being part of the Shaolin Order, but they don't share the same genetic history.

For the record, Hornbuckle has never been given any story, so there is no indication whether he's even a Shaolin Monk or not. He *might* have been one of the Dragon King's Holy Men, who ambushed Blaze. But he might not have been.

Basically, they can take his story in any direction, and it wouldn't be contradicting anything.

Whether this "character" makes it into MKSM or not, and I'd say it's 50/50 at best, they HAVE to change that name. Hornbuckle is one of lamest name ideas for any MK fighter. Since he doesn't officially exist yet, and they did it with Blaze (who was originally named as Torch by fanboys), this is possible, and probably will happen if Midway ever decide to do anything with the green Liu Kang from MK2's pit.

If they do use him, he should have his own look, not just being a recoloured Liu sprite. The days of the pallete swap are dead. As for ideas of what this guy's role would be, perhaps he could be a Shaolin traitor. Originally went to fight against Kahn, but now part of Kahn's army and Liu Kang and Kung Lao have to fight against a former Shaolin member gone bad.

He can BE evil cloning of Liu Kang ,
under the orders of Shao Kahn.
Kahn knows what it needs to be made to produce cloning.

i dont think that hornbuckle has any connection to blaze the only reason they were fighting is because mortal kombat 2 was a tournament hornbuckle could not possibly be one of onagas holy men tho it is very likely because of his outfit he is a shaolin monk or maybe chow kang
