I assume that everyone is basing their opinions of the Dragon King off of the box art released at E3..

I can understand your concern and need for an actually evil character, given the last two Mortal Kombat games. Shinnok and "The Deadly Alliance" were less than bosses, in my opinion.. We need a final character that gives us a reason to play through Arcade mode more than once..

Personally, I've always loved playing through so I could beat the overly powerful sub-boss. The Shokans that possessed insane strength and always managed to block....

Enough about that..

The point is, we've only seen one image of the Dragon King and it wasn't an In-Game image.. Give it time, wait until you see his model. He may not be so bad if you wait with an open mind!

I like how he looks so far. For all we know the DK may look completley different when he comes out the shadows.

To be honest, I like how the DK looks. He looks more intimidating than Shao Kahn, imo.

s "what if" ending ... I think it is safe to assume that the Dragon King is NOT Reptile, personally. Much cooler storyline possibilities ...

Regardless, I think that the Dragon King's appearance looks freakin' sweet. He's royally evil ... and will probably have a huge character model in game. Just wait ...

WHAT! the DK face in mk4 looking iight. and in UMK3 he was in a stage with khan sitting on a throne. mk4 he was in fire wall level.

DK looks badass. and thats only the shadows and he also has WINGS LOL.

he looks badass, and they never showed his waist down for some reason plus he is always in a shadow.

so i bet his waist down will have something weird cause they never show that part.

and NO DK and reptile arent the same person, that is why he doesnt look like reptile idiot.

I am not bitching about his look. I'm only stating something I want to get off my chest and perhaps people might of agree with me, but I was wrong. People are entitle to their opinion, but sure as hell, you will not get a point across if you do it with insults.

I like your picture, except I would like the skin to be more detail. Not generic like that. Kind of like scaley or something like that. Otherwise I think it's an awesome picture though.

Honestly I bet the power of the dragon king is way better then his looks but then ive only seen one picture it was a shadowy one too i couldn't see much detail but anyhow he's gonna be awesome. I believe that reptile is the DK i don't want to but face it I bet it is. It said a beam shot into reptile and his body was twisted and transformed finally the DK had returned..... But I say if reptiles in the game which he probably is he's one of 3 theres scorpion subzero and reptile but if he's back he'll be ninja form (which is better then the look he had in DA) He'll probably be a hidden character which is cool. If you have to complain about looks I would say the new subzero loooks way different which I like the old ways better but thats just me. But then all were looking at are screenshots doesn't mean they'll stay the same.

My opinion is I think he looks great. People have said he doesnt look as strong as Kahn, but we havent even really seen him compared to the other fighters, he could be absolutly huge compared to them.

Also, on the whole Reptile = DK rumor, it just doesnt add up. Reptile is a Reptile (makes sense doesnt it) he has never had wings and has never been a dragon, to say that a Reptile and Dragon are similar is like saying a Dog and a Wolf are similar.

Reptile is not the Dragon King.

well actually, if you read reptiles bios it says he turns more reptile as he is away from his race but he looks more human like when he is with his race.

i think DK is part of his race and it is no longer extinct, and that reptile is turning human little by little again. i also think that BOON realized that we wanted reptile to be a ninja again so they did that.

and BTW a dragon is considered a reptile, it has scales and such, so they can be of the same race.

i just hope to see a green ninja costume some day, i rather see a better looking mk4 look so that way they(ninjas) can remain different looking from each other

Like I said it says the egg cracked and a beam shot into reptile Transforming his body... The Dragon King had returned it twisted and transformed him into looking like the dragon king
(BEAT ARCADE ON MKDA WITH REPTILE AND WATCH HIS ENDING AGAIN) if reptiles back i would say he's the ninja form it also said that this reptile in DA was the last of his species so maybe they took him out of the game for good so they can end it in the next one in MK7 which i read that at mktemple they say in the interview they believe the game will be over after MK7

well when i saw this thread i was thinking to change the dragon kings look, make him more reptile and less astrothe from sc2 but now this thread has me wondering if the dk is not reptile
