i actually took it the other way, you didn't hear much about him and hes not popular so if hes not in the next game i wouldnt be surprised. i love using hsu. definately my fave character so far (next to nitara). im not too sure where he fits in tiers. his han stance is his biggest combo damage stance. from there you he has his 1,1,2,CS starter, and you can branch off

1,1,2,CS,you can mix it up by using
1,1,2,CS,+SP (last hits low)
its easy to do and very fast. do that 4 times over and moloch is dead, easy flawless on him.

wrestling is very tactical, there you got the mix up game, if you ever catch your opponent with a reversal use


use his back breaker and his ->+sm for a guessing game if you playing an opponent who doesnt tech roll. in wrestling you can basically force a (human) opponent to fight in weapons style if you keep reversing their attacks and using the above combo. hes great, keep in mind im ready to be flamed if my above strats are not that good, im all ears. as a beginer to this game, i'd love to hear anyone elses tactics or strats.

damn i stil have a lot to learn about this game but i personally like every character for one reason or another

His Sun-Moon combos are silimar to Kanos Butterfly ones but thats not a bad thing :)

he is one of the best characters in the game
he fights with skill,force, and his weapons kick ass

i don't use him much, but i know he's a great (if somewhat annoying (low throw string anyone? ) character...they should've given him a few more combos to work with...!!

I think that he's a strange character that died too quickly. Jax's ending most likely happened anyway. They should have given him a better look.

You guys are right about the lack of combos and also strings. I guess that is why they made his attack damage as high as it is to compensate for that. I personally like to use him for the simple fact that his strategy is so unconventional compared to the rest of the field on the game. End Result = added versatility with all other characters.

I now see that nobody really cares for Hsu Hao. I mean, noone really even bashed the guy. Does that mean people don't want to waste their time to comment on him? I like the guy, and I'll tell you why. Nobody else does. so there. I think I'll claim him for myself for now on. So you guys can't pick him any more.

Hsu Hao is a great character. I really love his combos and weapon moves. Hate his look. He looks like a lost member of the Village People. If (and its a big IF) they bring him back to the next game, his look should get a huge overhaul. He just doesn't look "Mortal Kombat." He does have the best fatality in my opinion.

sorry to be point blank but i think he sucked. Every time i see him he reminds me of Zangif from street fighter...not so much in appearance but it seems that every game has that big buff guy who seems to move slower than all the rest because he is too built and because he is slow they give him wrestling moves. That type of fighter does not interest me. i never pick him.....ALTHOUGH!!!!!! his fatality is cool. i dont like the whole beam from the chest thing but i like the way they crawl back after burned in half. otherwise i dont like his military type look either. its like Zangif from Street Fighter, Jack from Tekken and the army guy from Dead or Alive all put into one character. So my opinion is take him out...we dont need another military person, sonya and jax are enough even though im gettin tired of the whole sonya jax military partner chasing kano story.

he's my fave character to beat Moloch with.

hsu is not a "military guy". if you read his story he was "posing" as a chinese military officer, to fool sonya and co. look @ hes 2nd costume. hes just a regular fighter like a lot of the other guys.

I love him, I think he is just what the game needed, a character that is not a ninja, has a different style of fighting, I like the wresting, could be more moves though, you know, like King from Tekken. Throw in some suplexes and some pile-drivers.

Well, I still don't have him playable in my Profile. Although, I'll state my oppinion about his design. IMO, I think his design is a little too simple for MK. I mean, except for the thing in the chest, he's an ordinary guy. Pants, moustache and hat. I'd say that if he appears in a following game, they should give him some other stuff, like enormous scars, place the laser thingie in him, instead of on, and give him a permanent weapon/ a very cool jacket. Something that makes him stand out.

That's what I'm talking about. I like some of the ideas that i'm hearing, but sometimes simplicity can make something special all in it self. For many reasons I find him to be one of my favorite characters. Weapon speed(like Kano), one hell of a combo from his first fighting style, his wrestling move (although limited), a lot of people forget about his Kahn clap, which makes for a good laugh when they are taken away in a torrent of wind. His story is also that of a dedicated warrior, something we rarely see. As a character, although a 'bad guy', he is loyal. My favorite even as an underdog.

I think he looks like a big fruit...I kinda agree with the whole thing that he's a stupid slow chinese military Zagief, plus i don't like him cuz he's a red dragon...don't fuck with Kano, Kano's the shit...as far as his fighting I almost never use him but he seems to be pretty tough when I fight against him, and i agree that he needs some suplexes or piledrivers in his wrestling style. Same with Kano's aikido and Jax's judo.

i cant stand it...why is everyone always trying to make things like other games?? make hsu hao with more moves like king in tekken....where would the difference be? MK is not Tekken, it is not STREET FIGHTER, its MORTAL KOMBAT. All this talk of things like that make me upset because it seems they are trying to make MK like all these other games and i dont want a game like this turned into a game that is the same as everything else. it gets to a point where every game is the same only different character with the same moves. If you want to give Hsu Hao a new look and more moves then that is cool but he should not be given more wrestling moves like King from tekken. If i want king i will play tekken. There would be no point in playing MK after you play tekken fighting wise because people will have the same moves. And still Hsu Hao imitating a military offical...its still getting old with the military look. we have two do we need a character with another military look? they should have made him like a hardcore ruthless gladiator or executioner

if you actually played hsu hao you also would realise that his throws get quiet boring. i mean his hip throw does jack shit damage, so that leaves u with his forward SM throw and his back breaker. basically people suggesting if he had more variation in throws and more complexities (i.e KING, WOLF (vf4)) he would be more interesting.

hes a great character to use and quiet fun, but he doesnt have many moves, especially ones worth using. (check out his movelist yourself).

I think Hsu Hao's whole look is really gay, he should be lucky that his cap is not made of leather. His stances too, they all look gay. And he's a wimp, too!
