I just dont get why they are gonna be many tournaments in person unless there are for money. Because since MKD is gonna be online there will tournaments pretty much weekly. If not daily.

its more of a release party, a trubute if you will to the team that put this fine masterpiece together, plus there will be 1st , 2nd, and 3rd place prizes, half the fun will be we are all new to a new game and not very good, at first so everyone gets to learn together, not too mention...would you rather be hanging out with friends or just randomly playing whomever?

And like he said, there will be tourneys all the time. No need to be in person unless it is for cash.

Well a lot of the characters will be similair in style of MKDA so people who were good with cats like Bo Rai Cho and Sub-Zero(who are both very similair from their MKDA renditions) will have an advantage.
