they are suppose to be dropping to $99.99 soon, so maybe that + MKD will make you buy one.

The Xbox has had a confirmed price drop by the New York Post(if they aren't a reliable source, I don't know what is). Howver, all they said that would it would be somewhere between 99.99 - 129.99. They said that 99.99 is the most likely though because Xbox sales have slowed down since Nintendo lowered the price of Gamecube to 99.99, in which Gamecube has been selling much more than it previouly did. It outsold the Xbox for three months straight by a large margin.

as a ps2 fan i have to say this: GAME CUBE HAS THE LAMEST GAMES EVER MADE! i dont care if ps2 has worse graphics..answer me this : why did ps2 get way more sales than the GC? was it because of the graphics? didnt think so.

im not that surprised about it, MKD is a online fighting game, hence nintendoi wront make a system onlkine because they have a false impression of online games not being popular.

im sorta glad about it though , i own all 3 consoles, and xbox is the only one i ever play now.


anyways nintendo screwed over midway on the first MK.

they refused to allow blood or gore in the snes version, which sucked compared to the genesis version.

and when genesis flew off store shelfs because they found out about the blood code, and that the genesis version was uncensored, nintendo got all pissed off, and this is what they did.

when lieberman wanted to get re-elected but there where no issues for him to take up, they do what most polititions do, they made one up to get temporary support to the end of the election, and showed the home version of MK on the geneses, and sega cd.

who gave him home photage of MK saying that the genesis version was full of violance?

Nintendo, thats right, nintendo provided lieberman with video photage of the genesis version so he can raise up anti video game violance issue to gain temporary popularity to get re-elected.

plus, nintendo hates 3rd party developers, 60% of there sales are software, so they treat them as threats, also nintendo said it themselves that
"when a game is released on all consoles, like 3rd party games, it gives no reason for ppl to buy your console"

so, saving money seemed good on the gamecube, but dont expect 3rd party games.

also, xbox sells for $179 new, and $129 used.

and, by the time the game comes out this fall, there will be a price drop maybe, so like $150, or $129.

so, aneywayz, dont freak out about xbox being expensive, $179, you will see a price cut, and then see it sell used for even less, maybe about $99-$119 used, which is about what gamecube sells for, so wait till next fall.

not bashing nintendo at all, i like nintendo for nintendo games, but that is it. on a side note, i bought a subscription to nintendo power for $20 to get a free bonus disk containing 4 zelda games, the disk was the only reason i bought the year of NP, and its been 3 weeks, well 4 weeks, and i have yet to get it.

let me say this,that ps2 cost more then the xbox and yeah nintendo not doing a good job for midway is actually a very good reason not to release it on the gamecube.I think you should have also put in your topic by the xbox is ps2 .

Don't blame Midway, you oaf. Blame Nintendo. They're the ones who refuse to make the GameCube online, obviously a requirement for MKD to be fully enjoyable.
And Midway promoted MKDA for the Nintendo as much as they did for Xbox. It's not Midway's fault it didn't sell that good for the NGC, and do you know why? Because most people who buy gamecubes don't want fighting games, especially Mortal Kombat. Most people who buy gamecubes are people who want to play 'fun' platform games, Resident Evil, and RPGs. It's not Midway's fault. It's Nintendo's.

Well, if you're talking about the PS2's launch sales, it wasn't the games either. It probably had more to do with Sony cornering the market.

I agree with Zentile, though I am pissed off that it won't come out for Gamecube, because that is the only system I have. But I'm going to get a PS2 anyway for this game.
