Honestly man the MK myth has a good basis to it but true that Boon and Co have kinda F*cked it up and i think they realise that so they invented the amergeddon storyline to wipe the slate clean........So maybe a rip in time or space pushed these two worlds together and who knows some new characters could come as a result of some actions between these two worlds. maybe The Joker can fix Mileenas smile

Boon can always start the series with MK:D story rather than even put MK:A cannoned .
What if Ed Boon make MK into two main chapter this one as a spin off and the old one as the main chapter to complete .

Could work but i just think it should be kept as one continuos story and if you f*ck up a story the blow it up and start again

I get the feeling that this is cannon,this story is going to continue from the last game.
Armageddon probably caused the worlds to merge or something retarded like that.
Blazes power gave the surviving mk characters a massive power boost so now they can take on the dc invincibles.
That story about the girl who turns transparent still wont go away. Wiki says the story continues from the last mk game.

I think it would be good if it continues and then back to more pressing matters in MK9 minus the DC
