I like the Kori Blade and I hope it returns,it's a weapon that really fits sub zero.

Well, you're out of luck. Subzero has the same weapon in Deception that he had in Deadly Alliance - the Kori Blade. Its been shown in several videos (go to IGN to get one). Its definitely back.

I, for one, like the Kori Blade and think its very appropriate to his character.

In mk:da when i first switched up to the kori blade i thought the same thing; what the hell is this...and how can somebody be impaled with something so big and not split in 2 like dry wood?

Although it's very fitting, it could be a little less extravagant, as you said (particularly around the handle).

MK4 had 'em. Anyway, I hated the ice sword. It just looks stupid. Even Mokap would fall down laughing if threatened with it. Plus, as I mentioned in another thread, being made of ice shouldn't it shatter upon impact with weapons or armor?

Never played Mk4 lol I played the rest though well except the ones on Sega systems. lol I liked the Kori Blade. I think I mite go buy MK4 while i think of it lol.

I despise Sub - Zero's shitty Kori Blade.

If they do not change it, Sub - Zero will lose his status of favorite character of myself. An ice staff would be nice. The Kori Blade needs more than 2 combos, & those combos need more than 2 button-combinations. That piece of shit.

I didn't like the Kori Blade, but it was shown in the Gameplay trailers for MKD. If it was smaller and a bit quicker to use, I suppose I could like it. An idea I thought for a Sub Zero weapon was to have two small daggers (like Frost.)They woul look like minature versions of the ice spike that killed Sub Zero in the 1st movie. But the edges are razor sharp and the tip very pointy

I think it'd too late for that. The Kori Blade is almost certain to be back. But I agree with the fact that it is too fancy for my liking and too big. i wish it would be smaller and thinner with icy stuff i suppose. Even though I love Subzero the Kori Blade sucked balls in MKDA. Only 2 combos, and both were so short and sucky. Lol.(maybe I just suck at using subby). But still, i wish they change his weapon in the next games, with more combos and stuff..

The Kori Blade stays and is perfect for him.

Oh, and by the way....no it wouldn't break in two if someone got hit with it. Sub-Zero's freezing power has the power to freeze to the COLDEST HARDEST icy level to make it good and thick. Not all ice breaks easily, you know.

The Kori Blade is awesome, it fits Subby very well. Also it wouldn't break considering he is very experienced by now and is a Master of the freeze powers.

Maybe a bit faster but the look is fine.

Sub-Zero has the power to freeze the surrounding air to -273 C/-459.4 F/0 K*; if he had a weapon of ice at that kind of temperature, it'd be as hard as granite.

*In the Mythologies manual, it says that he could generate colder temperatures (-500 F if I'm not mistaken), but as far as I've learned from Chemistry, it's impossible to reach below the aforementioned temperature.
