I must say dude you are onto something. When I think about it the two do look very much alike. I am too lazy to hook up my N64 to compare , but from what I remember they do look sort of the same. Good find!!!

ya it does the eyes of him but the last pic we saw of him was with baraka and mileena and like his uniform i guess but the thing in the backround looks like the uniform thats what im sayin..its very unlikley but it could be a possibility knowing boon and the teams reputation for taking things from their games. he did say expect a huge suprise at the begining so its all how u look at it i guess

maybe reptiles ending in mkda does not happen and actually shao khan becomes the dragon king.... that'll be cool... great find!!!!!

I don't know if fight night can be taken seriously on everything they said. I mean, the sotry may have changed since then, but yeah I think they did say Reptile is the Dragon king. They may have said that intending to deceive us, or it may have been the intention at the time, and it may still be the intention, but I'm sceptical about this Reptile=Dragon King thing.

One of the background people on the boat looked suspiciously like the character "Q" from Street Fighter 3: Third Strike. This falls into one of two categories. Either they were out of ideas for new characters, so they went with a background character design, or there are people who are looking TOO into things... make your decision.

Well I doubt that they even came up with the DK before MKDA but I have always had the suspicion that this whole DK story has A LOT to do with Shao Khan. I mean, the DK was said to be Outworlds superb ruler maaaany decades ago.
And who was Outworlds ruler a short time ago (until he "supposedly" died)? Shao Khan, who was a superb ruler aswell. New superb Outworld ruler (Shao Khan) dies, old superb Outworld ruler is reborn. This possible connection could be infact the deception. And the DK could be using Liu Kang's ghost or something. We shall know more soon...

I have a problem with it getting stuck on the continue count down screen. If you don't continue, it just freezes on that screen and I have to reset it.

my friend's does; but mine don't get stuck (but I know what u'r talklin abt.) don't know how to fix it but looking as well for an answer.

Secondgen:- u said your game gets stuck at continue screen. does this mean u can see the endings just fine?

For the record, my MKT for PSX likes to get stuck whenever I do a Fatality.

Anyway, very interesting find! The similarities between Khans throne and the newest picture of the Dragon King are striking. What's even more interesting to me is that the Dragon King as seen in Raiden's MKDA ending looks absolutely nothing like the recent picture. Also interesting to note, the new Dragon King picture certainly looks like it's a human head wearing a helmet. It's starting to look more and more like it actually might be Shao Khan. How this fits in with what we supposedly "knew" about the Dragon King, we'll have to wait and see.

Also, couple the evidence we have with the fact that MKD seems to go to large lengths to give fans what they want, and that fans have definitely been clamoring for Khan to return, it's a distinct possibility.

there is also another picture of the DK in a MK4 stage.

if you look at concept sketches of arenas in the MKDA kyprt, i dont remeber the name of the level but it was either fire wall, hell, reptiles lair i dont remeber.

but it clearly shows a DK face pic.

they have one in UMK3 and mk4, hmmmmmmm.

then they show more of him in MKDA. yea it was planned for a while then.

look at blaze, he was in an mk2 background and they just now put him in MKDA.

BOON gets ideas from his backgrounds i guess, but whatever, DK is gonna kick some ass.
