well go across it and take a left and follow the road ,u go in , u cant miss him hes next to the big fire thing.i think u have to have completed konquest tho cos i didnt go there until i did it all.and wen i say complete i mean until u see credits,
and tanya is in out world u have to do her mission where u can either warn liu kang in the little village with the massive walls around at the north east part of the map or u can find a cave which i didnt do so i dunno where it is.
then u find her near the portal i think its A-7.

U train with Darrius in Orderrealm, and with Kabal in the Netherrealm, I believe.
Furthermore, Liu can also be found in Edenia (the small temple east of the statue) and Outworld (the fortress in the north-east)

Tanya = out world, A-8?
Dairou = orderrealm
Darrius =orderrealm
Kabal = netherealm
soz about the coordinates lol

Now, to unlock Liu:
In Edenia, there is a passage that leads to a secluded settlement inside the mountains. It starts at around F-8 I think. Continue until you see a tent. Meditate until you reach 12 AM on Friday morning. Start to get out of it at 11 PM, so you are not too late. Liu's chest is behind the tent. The point is G8, just so u can check...
Tanya is at point A-3 in Outworld, between 7 and 9 PM...

Oh, and in case you are looking for Liu's alternate costume:
It is at point F-5 in Edenia (patch of green with a few trees), at the first day of every month, between 12 and 1 PM.

you train with tanya in edenia where you have to fight with tanya to rescue sindel ... go back to nexus, in nexus you go back to edenia, and from the portal back to tanya where have rescued sindel ... there begins your training with tanya
