I dunno, guys, MKD's storyline was pretty interesting to say the least, but then I saw the endings and I was like, "C'mon." Most of them suck, and I fear MK7 will too storyline-wise.
IMO, the story's taken a turn for the worst with this game. Either that, or I just can't seem to get into it anymore. And being that they are all dealing with The One Being now, I say they've reached the maximum. There's nothing worse than that. Nothing could top that. Once they beat that, it should all be over. The series should end soon. I think now would be a good time to end it, or at least my suggestion: 10 and then it's done.
If they want to keep making money off of it and keep it interesting, make prequels and adventure games. But, as for where the story is at now, I would say now is a good time to end it.

No. I really dont. I dont want the game to end, but if its going to end soon, Mk7 is a must.
But I do agree, adventure games have potential. Just because MkSF and MKM sucked doesnt mean new ones will.

The One Being is pretty much God before the big bang. All realms, all beings, everything was within him, and he within them. There was no realms, no people, nothing but him. Well, except for a few Elder Gods, if you believe their story (but if the One Being was everything in one, wouldn't they not exist yet?).
Supposedly, the Elder Gods used the Kamidogu to smash the consciousness of the One Being into many realms, and they fear that, if Onaga (the Dragon King) fused the Kamidogu together, he'd awaken the One Being again, causing all other realms and beings (including them, apparently) to cease to exist.
Hence why they're pissed off at Shujinko, because Onaga tricked him into bringing the Kamidogu together so this could happen.
