I think I have a good theory involving Scorpion, Sub-Zero, and Quan Chi.

Ok, Scorpion's story has always been about getting revenge for his murder as well as his wife and children's.

If anyone one notices, Sub-Zero doesn't have a scar which to me indicates that this Sub-Zero is the one Scorpion killed in MK1 and has now returned. (assuming)

Quan Chi I believe won't be in Deception, so that leaves the question of what Scorpion's story will be for Deception.

Thats where Sub-Zero comes in...

Scorpion would learn of his return and once again would hunt him down and kill him.

Whaddya think?

true i think that the mk1'ns sub-zero is back cause he doesnt have the scar in his face so i think so.i tihnk that if that sub-zero is the 1 in mk1 i think that scorpion is still going against quan chi but im pretty sure sub-zero would have a new srory line.quan chi not sure

I don't really like that idea. I think Scorpion will go against the person who killed Quan Chi.

I highly HIGHLY doubt that satan and the Scar DOES mean something. I mean look at his alt., he's FUCKING BALD WITH A PONYTAIL!

as previously mentioned, I too believe that the scar means nothing......hey its amazin wot make up does!

All jokin aside, to the peeps sayin this is the old Subby = Are you also sayin "Scab" is Kabal, just cos he has some disfigured, skanky face?

The scar DOES mean nothing. He has the medallion, so it's pretty much secured that it's the younger headmaster Subzero.

The reason he has a pony tail and grey hair is
A) A significant amount of time has passed since MKDA. Notice that Li Mei's hair is more than twice it's original length.

B) Sub is aging faster because of the medallion.

But believe what you want.

Well in MkDa, the game, Sub-zeros alternate costume, if you look at his eyes, easiest way to notice being to win a match,and perform a normal attack, his eyes are completely ice blue. That is because of his powers.

Maybe the original Sub Zero got resurrected somehow... Maybe the other Sub Zero died. I just want it to be explained in the intro movie. This will be very very interesting to see. Maybe the scar healed, which was my first guess, or maybe it is the original. Right now, I am hoping it was the original and now Sub Zero was brought back to kill Scorpion and Scorpion sees that the original Sub Zero is back, so he comes back from the Netherrealm. Interesting...

He says the story starts off immediatly after the tournament, meaning the intro will probably explain the true ending. But we have no idea when actual kombat begins.

To me, the games take place in the year they were released. This is canon, as it is mentioned in MKDA.

MKM: SZ - 1982 (it takes place 10 years before MK)
MKSF - sometime before '92
MK - 1992
MK2 - 1993
MK3 - 1995
MK4 - 1997
MKDA - 2002
MKD - 2004 (I don't care what anyone says)
