Its an old picture using the MK:DA models to show what its like.It is also in a issue of PSM magazine and features Kitana also.Neither super unlockables,just testing.If its new,let me see it.

yea i have definately seen Quan Chi on one of the older vids with chess mode in it. That couldve changed tho or that could have been early testing and his model was just from MKDA.
O BTW, Sektor aint in the game buddy

Sektor sucks. I hope he doesnt get in another MK game. I hope if hes in MK7 his ending will be that his own missile explodes while its still inside him thus ending that red piece of shit robot sektor.

actually i have some proof too, besides the one that he mentioned.
there was a topic like 2 weeks ago that said SO ARE SHANG TSUNG AND QUAN CHI IN OR NOT?!, and i put all i knew in there. basicly what is said is that i saw a picture of quan chi and subzero in a magazine. the picture wasn't from gameplay, but it covered strictly MK:D. the pic was like a pose, sort of like a poster with subzero having those vapors come out of his palm, and quan chi was behind him with some cuts on his face and arms. they didn;t have cuts on their arms in mk;da, and why would they show quan chi in mk:d anyway? right?
here's where i saw the pic: GAMEPRO issue 193 ( ssj 4 goku should be on the cover, or ssj pointing up), and the pic was on page38. it's huge, in the center of the page and it's got some smaller pics around it - like tanya hitting havik with an axe, ( very possibly - jax kicking sujinko and the background is " choose your destiny" from mk3), and that's about it. i guess this means that u can use sujinko in chess combat. this isn't really news, but never really thought of it that way.
anyway about quan chi's picture and jax on page 38 in GAMEPRO issue 193 - SOME1 THAT HAS THE MAGAZINE BACK ME UP!!!!! i'm sure a lot of people would be glad to hear quan chi is confirmed. personally, i think he's in.

this is the second time i bring AWESOME proof of quan chi being in the game ( that wasn't jax btw), and people just ignore my post. i won;t bother next time

Subzeroximmortal: I didn't see your thread the first time around, but I can back you up 100% about the Gamepro mag. I also got that issue with Dragonball Z: Budokai 3 on it. It clearly shows Sub-Zero and Quan Chi. Not sure why a magazine that came out as late as September would have Quan Chi in it unless he's actually in it.
Also, and I know that this is small, but now that Quan Chi's fortress is making it's return from MK:DA, wouldn't make sense to have, I dunno, Quan Chi himself in the game? I know, Kuatan Palace being in the game doesn't mean that we'll see Goro or Kintaro etc, as it certainly didn't mean that in the last game, but still. It's not like they called it Goro's Lair or anything. It would be like having a level called The Acid Pit, with green everything, snakes etc, and not having Reptile in the game (MK4).
I'm not sure if he's going to be updated, or just an MK:DA model of him, but in my opinion, I'm convinced that Quan Chi will be a superunlockable, and I'm predicting it right now.

I think the Deadly Alliance is at least alive. They are listed as allies/foes in the character bios. Why would they be in those if they were dead?
I have seen some of the new characters with fighting stances from characters in DA, for instance Nightwolf has Sonya's Tae Kwon Do stance. Darrius has Nitara's Leopard stance, and Darrius has Mavado's wing chun stance. I would think that this means Sonya, Nitara and Mavado wont be in the game. I have not seen anyone with Quan Chi's stances, this is a plus. I want to go watch my movie files again but I thought I saw someone with Shang Tsung's snake stance.
Why would they junk a great character like him anyhow? He has to be in it. I think he character deserves it anyhow after that horrible crap of a fatality they gave him in DA.

I hope he is in, if not he will be back in MK7 in all his glory from the old days.
However I think that Quan chi is ABOVE the simple status of super unlockable, a status like that belong better to a pawn like Sektor

There's nothing wrong with people wanting Sektor or Quan Chi back in. People need to get over their personal bias, and accept the fact that characters they don't like may be included. The small-mindedness you find here is amazing.
I personally hate Rain, but I'm not going to rag on someone if they want him back. Hell, if they bring him back improved, I'll rejoice.
I hated Noob Saibot because he seemed like a mindless puppet, but now that he has his own ambitions and motivations, I'm fine with him being back.

i think that if there are super unlockables, i doubt boon will fill those voids with a useless character like quan chi. i think he will be in konquest mode, but i dunno too much about a fully playable character. didnt him and shang die at the end of MK:DA? do me a favour though...go and find the Oxford English Dictionary and look up the word "Proof". think you'll find it has a different meaning to what you seem to think it means.

thanks temporary user name...i might be annoying...ask shadaloo...but if i want sektor...dont diss mme...if hes not in...big deal...i will get over it...i still have scorpion...but i still want sektor and if anyones got a prob, they can face me as sektor or scorp online and settle it...you cant diss and run now....i will hunt you down...lol

If Quan Chi's in the game i wont care really. I never play as him. Shang Tsung is much better for me. Also Sektor in the game would be ok.

A couple of things.
First, that Quan Chi pic DID have cuts on the arm before. Remember that ad for MKDA in magazines that had Quan beating the crap out of Scorpion? "So Brutal, So Evil, So Deadly". That is the exact same picture, cuts and all.
One character DOES have one of Quan Chi's styles. Dairou has his Escrima style. You can see it in one of the videos (either vs Kabal or vs Scorpion..he changes to Escrima for a second or two). So who knows if Quan will be back...
Lastly, I seriously think that is Darrius fighting Shujinko in that chess kombat pic.
