everybody is asking for an updated look for reptile and with the unreal engine maybe at the beginning of a fight you are the reptillian form until you jump into a corpse and become human form of reptile. almost exactly like mk's1st film when he is in outworld then fights liu kang. that way the fans will get his ninja look and his true zattarian form. what do you think.

No. I never liked the fact that Midway created him as a dino-lizard in Deadly Alliance. I liked him as the SM version. That is what Reptile shoud look like or at least a touch up with that apperance.

I agree with the person above me. They should leave Reptile the way he looked in MKA. They shouldn't fix whats not broken.

If they hadn't made an attempt to explain it, I'd be all about the MK4 Reptile.
I'm not sure I really understand the point of the black... stuff... wrapped around his head. It seems like an attempt to make some sort of compromise between MKII and what we now know of the character, but it's a little garbled for my tastes.
If the MK fanbase didn't need to be babied through change, it would've been a joy to see the contemporary designs transplanted into the MKII setting [in Shaolin Monks]. There's no reason these characters shouldn't have always had vivid, individual designs. It's really frustrating to watch.

Either SM apperance or his MK4 appearance, I like that look as well.

I'm up for MKSM look as well. Though If you would add a human looking face behind the rolled up bands, i'd give him more of a mysterious appearance. They should mix up the look in MKSM and MKII.

They need to use the sub-surface-scattering-of-light technique to render reptilian creatures. Look at a chameleon's tongue, it's translucent, like a lit candle. That rendering technique is featured in the Directx 9.0c SDK, using shader model 3, so ps3 and xbox can do it. They both support shader model 3.
That rendering technique is also used for Gollum in Lord of the Rings, and the worm creatures in King Kong.

It's great that it would work on the newer consoles. They should really use that technology for Reptile, or if a new Zatterian is introduced. I think the hidden lizard face gave Reptile more character. He was cool MKSM but can be even cooler.
If he is in this game I am hoping that at least a small part of his Armageddon ending was true,
because its time Reptile was given a break
and what better way for that to happen then for him to repopulate his race, recreat his home relm and become king.
Oh and if that ending or at least a part of it was true Reptile will be in his human form so why would he need to get into a crops !

He should return in his human form, and bring along the female zetteran. Reptile should also regain his original moveset back from MK2.
